The famous monastery of Glendalough is just 15 minutes’ drive away. Great value and, especially, by current Irish standards. Huge guest house, may be the biggest in the world !? Lovely breakfast. Lovely hostess. Large room. Everything needed was close by.
Enniskerry
This beautiful country-house hotel on the edge of Enniskerry features spacious rooms and seasonal cuisine, 5 minutes’ walk from Powerscourt House and Gardens. Dublin can be reached in a 30-minute drive. Breakfast was outstanding, could not do any better. Staff were brilliant.one of the best breakfast ever. Nice bar and sitting area. The room was comfortable and quiet, we could rest properly. We would definitely stay again when visiting family. The reception staff were very helpful as well as the porters. Parking area is very big.
Aughrim
Set in a Designated Area of Natural Beauty, the award winning BrookLodge & Macreddin Village has elegant modern rooms and extensive facilities which include an indoor-to-outdoor pool, Hammam massage centre and sauna. Free WiFi is available throughout. Hard to single out a particular thing as our two day stay was thoroughly enjoyable. All the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. The smell of burning wood from the open fire in the reception lounge. The outdoors hot tub is so enjoyable. Everything in the spa is spotless and very well maintained (swimming pools, sauna, steam room) and comfortable. We did not opt for the fine dining restaurant but enjoyed tasty light food in the confortable bar-lounge.

The award-winning Redmond Restaurant serves both modern and traditional Irish cuisine alongside an extensive range of wines. Amazing quaint hotel in a scenic locations. Dinner and live music was wonderful.

Delicious food is available in the award-winning Pottery Restaurant and also in the Ferrybank Lounge, which offers live music on selected nights. The comprehensive wine list offers a selection of expertly selected wines to complement your meal. I liked the walk around the hotel, the birds and the lake. The hotel was nice and the room clean. We ordered in. Food was good.
Newtown Mount Kennedy
The Parkview Hotel is positioned between the Wicklow Mountains and the Irish Sea in the town of Newtownmountkennedy. This sophisticated hotel offers a bistro and spacious bedrooms with large marble bathrooms.
The hotel is 4.4 km from the Druids Glen Golf Club whilst the Glenroe Open Farm, a 10-minute drive away, is a great family attraction. Stunning countryside walks and fishing are both available nearby.
The room was beautiful and big. Everything was clean and the beds were really comfortable. Also, we had a problem with the plugs (didn't bring the EU-UK adapter) and the girl at the reception was absolutely amazing about it, helped us to find where we could find one and to print out boarding passes in case we didn't manage to find the adapter.
Room was beautiful, with great fridge, bed very comfortable. Staff throughout the hotel were very friendly and extremely well trained in their departments The Bar was very nice a cosy. Interior designer did an excellent for the whole hotel. Main restaurant has a great atmosphere to it.

Gorgeous bnb, so comfortable and really lovely breakfast. Loads of room in the bedroom and massive bathroom. Shower was brilliant too. Highly recommend.
Location is perfect if you are looking for a lovely chilled few days away. We only stayed one night but would have loved to have stayed more. We stayed in one of the pods with a sea view which was absolutely stunning. It was spotless clean with everything you need for an overnight stay.
The staff were lovely, the room was very spacious and the stunning bath tub was a bonus for chill relaxation! Location was great, decor was lovely around the hotel
Lovely helpful people, quiet location yet plenty to do in an area of outstanding beauty. The breakfast was excellent. Locally, Avondale house and the treetop walk is a must see. We saw it on a rainy, misty day. On a lovely day it would be stunning!

Beautiful property in idyllic location. Fabulous home cooked breakfast with nice varied selection. Bedroom lovely and comfortable with spectacular scenic views and designated trails down to the river. Niamh was a lovely welcoming host with lovely staff.
A lovely boutique hotel is a brilliant location, food was gorgeous, especially the breakfast which was delicious and my 3 children loved their pancakes. The staff were friendly and very helpful, especially Raj who accommodated our last minute changes and made us very welcome. Would recommend and will definitely be visiting again 👍
