Location perfect. All rooms with great design and comfort.During the night time no lights.
A very beautiful place, with stunning garden - lovely sanctuary after a long drive. Family suite was a lovely space, although the small bathroom with little shower area might struggle if you stayed longer than a night or two. Location excellent, loads to do, very pretty village, plenty of facilities and eateries just a short drive away. Breakfast was very stylish and delicious. Proprietors welcoming.
The house and its grounds are absolutely stunning. The room was large and well-appointed, stylishly decorated, and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting outside in te garden, in the company of the dog (Charlie) and the peacock (Monsieur). However, the best part of our stay was chatting with Madame Caillau. She is a lovely person, with a kind, warm soul. She made our stay all the more special. I highly recommend you stay at the Manoir du Pont Senot.
Very clean and comfortable, perfect for a one night stay on our trip before getting the ferry back to Ireland. We had a room with a gorgeous view over Caen. Very modern design and friendly staff. I requested an extra blanket and received it directly to the room within a few minutes. Excellent service.
We had a wonderful time. The Chateau Cote de Nacre is a truly magical place. As a designer I can really appreciate all details and quality of the interiors. My boys were captivated by the friendliness of the animals and were looking forward feeding them every morning and evening during our stay. This is one of the best properties we have stayed in. We have memories to treasure. We will miss the views of the garden from our dining table.
I loved our hostess Severine. She made our stay incredible. The building is old but is beautifully designed and decorated. Very clean. Our bed was very comfortable and our room was lovely. The view of the Cathedral from our bathroom window at night was magical. Breakfast was excellent.
Loved the bathroom, and spacious room with a lovely welcome. I wish I had the opportunity to dine in the restaurant, but perhaps in the future, they'll have a vegan menu, but this is a fantastic stay in the surprisingly vibrant city of Caen. The room interior design seemed a little under 5-star standards but everything was clean and neat.
Domaine de Bayeux is a very beautiful building and it was wonderful to see it so well cared for without any compromise on comfort and cleanliness. Our room - one the more affordable ones on the top floor - was comfortable and well-designed, with a big bathroom. Breakfast was in a lovely bright airy room and it was hard to do justice to all the good things on offer. We enjoyed sitting out on the terrasse with its view over the garden. All the staff were friendly and welcoming.
I also liked the lighting, not least the big, round, sun-like wall light, with a soft red glow around - really pleasant effect, so, great design! I liked the fact we could let ourselces in past the reception times, allowing for the fact that travel plans sometimes include late arrivals ( ferry sailing times etc.), can change or be delayed. Great to have safe parking!
