Lovely hotel in a great part of Alicante. Steps to the Esplanada de España and to the old part of the city with its many restaurants and bars. Easy walking distance to everywhere else, including beach, shops and trails leading up to the castle. Everything was sparkling clean and decorated with taste and attention to detail. The room was spacious and comfortable with a good amount of closet and drawer space. The bathroom was likewise spacious and comfortable, the shower had good water pressure, and because there was a hole-building water filtration system, the tap water was not only safe to drink but also tasted good. The breakfast - prepared and served by the owner - was delicious and copious. The owner was a delight, he always had a smile on his face and a joke on his lips, true to the name of his hotel. He speaks English fluently but was very patient when we insisted on practising our (very rudimentary) Spanish. His recommendations for things to do and places to eat were all spot-on. We will stay at Hotel Smile & Co again if we go back to Alicante, and happily recommend this place to anybody looking for a great place to stay in that city.

Apartamentos Poeta Quintana offers sound-proofed apartments with a seating area with flat-screen TV with satellite channels and a safety deposit box. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, oven and a microwave as well as ceramic hobs. This is an amazing apartment. We were 6 people and we all slept perfect. It was very easy to take the keys. Our flight back was in the late evening and we left our baggage in the lobby for free. There is also available toilet and bathroom in the loby. The location is more than good. If I go again, I will definitely go to this apartment.

There is a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, and free WiFi is available. all food was exceptional. we went half board and there was nothing to complain about. my mom is such a picky eater and there was always something she could eat there. not a bad word you could say. i loved it.

Many of the rooms have balconies and views. It was very clean, had everything you need while on vacation on the seaside

Free Wi-Fi is available. Breakfast excellent, everything you needed was available. Lovely room. Really clean fantastic facilities. Was under half full for the week we stayed so very peaceful not sure what it would be like if full.
