Awesome environment with lots of amazing plant and full of animals in the jungle. Staff was perfectly kind and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were super great, with so many local dishes and vegetarian options. Strongly recommend for everyone with kids or babies as well.

This place has a beautiful garden with birds and frogs (and a daily evening tour to see them), the room is nice with an open bath (you feel like it is open to the jungle), the staff is amazing and especially Frederick who helped us a lot. We would love to come again.

It's absolutely wonderful to fall asleep and wake up to the sounds of the amazing wildlife.
The kitchen was very well equipped and very clean. Containers provided enough storage for food as well and had a lid which I appreciated. Even a little airfryer was there. I asked to change into the female dorm after my first night and the staff replied very quick and prepared everything while I was on a tour. For that I was very glad. The common area was very well designed so it was easy to get in touch with other solo travellers. The tours were also lots of fun. And a plus for the hostel dog, who was so cute.
Lovely small boutique property with a lovely pool area and 2 jacuzzis. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and the property is set within an oasis of greenery. The wildlife, while wonderful, is very close so earplugs are recommended for restful sleep!

The setting is lovely and the grounds are stunning with a view of the volcano from the pool area which is gorgeous. You’re an easy transfer from all tours.

Absolutely stunning location. Gorgeous view right off the porch of the volcano, gorgeous plants. Beside the breakfast area there were always lots of hummingbirds in the bushes. Saw toucans daily in a tree by the breakfast area. Such lovely people. Highly recommend. Only 1 km from la fortuna falls and el salto rope swing is nearby. Park and eat at the soda in the red building by rope swing and walk on their path to the river.
We loved staying at AOL. The location out of town suited us peferctly. The ethos of supporting nature and the local environment was evident in all of their activities and the design of the lodges. We had a spectacular view of the lake from our balcony. The staff are lovely and nothing was too much for them The morning bird table was always a delight to watch and the organised nature hikes led by Christian were definitely worth doing. Our stay was definitely the highlight of our holiday to Costa Rica.
AMAZING location, the grounds are stunning and we saw 2 sloths at night! lovely area to sit by the river and look for birds and the pool is gorgeous. also delicious breakfast with lots to choose from and unlimited tea/ coffee/ juice!
The hotel is unique and very beautiful. The springs and gardens are well designed and beautiful at day and maybe even more at night. The rooms are generous and rather high end. Volcano views are gorgeous. The Rio Club is a specific area for activities at the bottom of the hill with an exclusive access for hotel guests. Most activities are being charged on top. I guess it caters to wealthy Americans first and foremost.
