Set on 5 acres of gardens, Camden Valley Inn offers spacious rooms appointed with timeless furnishings, sunlit verandas and impressive views or a pleasant garden outlook. Sit on your balcony with a glass of wine and watch the cattle graze the surrounding farmland. After 30 hours of airports and airplanes from the American south to the Australian coast, we felt welcomed. A friendly Chantelle greeted us, after numerous responsive emails, and helped us get settled. The view was restful full of singing and talking birds, distant cattle in the field, and even a few kangaroos hopping about, with a friendly staff, and even a wedding in the field. Good food, good service, good three nights. Who could ask for anything more.

It is just 5 minutes' walk from Wynyard Train Station, 10 minutes' walk from Pitt Street Mall and 10-15 minutes' walk from Circular Quay and Sydney Opera House. The room temp was easy to regulate. Liked the blackout shades. Best thing was location and staff. We could walk everywhere including to the excellent places the staff recommended for dining. The staff was friendly and helped make our stay memorable.

The property is a 7-minute walk from Crown Street, which offers some of Surry Hills best shopping and dining options. The famous nightlife of Oxford street is a 10-minute walk away. The Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge are both within 10 minutes' drive. Staff: Paula was excellent in her service. She helped me store my luggage as I had arrived early. I went out to do some shopping and she helped me stored that too. When it was time to check in, she had already placed my belongings inside my room. This was more than I could ask for. Hotel: I am grateful for receiving the complimentary upgrade from the queen to the king room. There was a lot of space and the bathroom design is extremely modern and incredibly tasteful. It might not be what most people are comfortable with as it had no doors or walls but I like it.
