Das Himberg is located south of Vienna, 6 km from exit 7 of the S1 motorway. It is easily reachable from Vienna Airport and from the A2 and A4 motorways. Free private parking is available, and the centre of Vienna is reachable by public transport in 30 minutes. After 10 days of travel through 5 different cities, this was the best night stay of the whole trip. The front desk staff when out of her way to make arrangements for us to get a taxi to the airport and to start breakfast a bit earlier for us before we had to leave. I am so thankful that she did this because the breakfast was incredible!

Built in 1574 as a shipmaster’s house, Renaissancehotel Raffelsberger Hof B&B is a protected building in the historic village centre of Weißenkirchen in the Wachau. It offers rooms with free WiFi, free parking, and a varied breakfast buffet. Amazing hotel, so far the best accomodation on our cycling trip. It's very relaxing, clean, misterious and cosy. The breakfast was delicious. Really didn't want to leave.

Surrounded by vineyards, this 4-star hotel is just a 5-minute drive from Göttweig Abbey and 10 minutes from the centre of Krems. The spacious, individually furnished rooms all have air conditioning and overlook the abbey and the surrounding vineyards. The room is large and comfortable. The most amazing feature is its restaurant. The meal we had there is simply the best during our three-week trips around four countries. You also need to try the wine from their own vineyard. People from Vienna come here often just for a meal. Excellent!

Located in a renovated 19th-century building in the centre of Krems, this spacious studio offers free Wi-Fi, a kitchen, and a balcony overlooking the garden. It is right next to a cultural exhibition space. Outstanding breakfast, great funky decor, easy stroll to restaurants, beer gardens, but quiet and peaceful.

Located in the pedestrian zone in the Old Town of Melk,at the foot of Melk Abbey, the historic Rathauskeller features a restaurant serving traditional Austrian cuisine. It offers free WiFi in all areas subject to availability. The hotel is ca 3 mins far from the train and bus station. The hotel is situated in the historical part of Melk. The room was clean and spacy, breakfast was fine.

All rooms offer a view over the old city of Melk, and some feature a private balcony. The room was very comfortable, we enjoyed the balcony very much and the breakfast was great.

A traditional Viennese-style café in a 16th-century building in the pedestrian zone in the centre of Melk, Madar Café Restaurant zum Fürsten is only 500 metres from Melk Abbey. Free high-speed WiFi and free private parking are available. Position right in the middle of the small town. Very close to the abbey. Confortable accomodation in an old but charming environment.

Directly connected to the Römertherme Spa via a private covered pathway, Das Gutenbrunn Thermen & Sporthotel is a protected historic building that was once a residence of Beethoven. Free WiFi is available on site. Big rooms. A lot of interesting detail in interior. The best breakfast (2 type of coffee). SPA.

Ideally situated in the heart of the city of Krems, at the entrance to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Wachau, the family-run Hotel Unter den Linden is just a few minutes’ walk away from many of the local attractions. Location is excellent, good for exploring Wachau valley. However, the best thing about this place is breakfast and service. Absolutely spectacular, and great value for money. Great selection of most breakfast items and a la carte hot items. Truly enjoyed our short stay here.
