It features a garden and is located in El Calafate's historic and commecial centre. Los Glaciares National Park is 40 km away. The stay started with a wonderful check in process- we were given a welcome drink and chatted about recommendations for the area. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice en suite- we slept well in a comfortable bed. In the morning they again helped us with recommendations and drove us to the airport for a small fee.

The guest rooms at Posada Los Alamos feature heating, as well as a minibar and cable TV. Rooms have views over the organic garden and the mountains beyond. Excellent breakfast and supper dinner with delicious Pentagonia lamb. Front desk Teo is efficient, professional and very attentive . He welcomed us very warmly and explained everything so clearly. He helped to book our day tours plus transport. He found a room for us to stay the next day so we don’t have to move to another hotel on our last day in El Calafate. Thank you, Teo. You are a 5 star service model!!

Unreal beautiful lobby, pleasing to the eye. The standard room with mountain view inspires with its authenticity. The hotel is designer! Everything is thought out to the smallest detail. Even the handles on the doors! The staff are very friendly and helpful. I left my bag in the lobby, they realized it was me and gave it back to me) Breakfast is the usual, as in many Argentinian hotels. Also, we ordered dinner at the hotel restaurant, the chef is awesome! Very tasty restaurant! If you eat the restaurant, definitely try the ravioli! I highly recommend this hotel

Rooms at Schilling Hostel Patagonico are equipped with heating and en suite bathrooms. Excellent Hostel but would like to call an upmarket Bed and Breakfast as does not feel like a hostel. Serving an excellent buffet breakfast like being in an hotel. Provides an excellent lunch box take out for hiking or excursion trips. Not like other hostels where there can are a lot of young backpackers. Hostel Schilling would cater for all age groups and worth paying more for the extra comfort and service. Lots of books, puzzles & jigsaws.
