A little piece of heaven is what the owner told us this place is, and she was right. Very beautiful accommodation and superbly renovated. The room was comfortable, clean and beautiful. The garden with the pool is a perfect place to unwind.

    The location is amazing, right by the wall. The gardens outside were gorgeous, a great place to have a drink after a day of wandering around the city. The room itself was spacious and had large windows overlooking the garden area; all in all, quite lovely in this regard.

    Lovely hotel in an historic compound just in the old fortification. Beautifully decorated and furnished, wonderful large room with outside windows and stunning views! Very nice staff, good breakfast! We were very happy there! Recommended! 😇😇

    If you are looking 4 star luxury then this place isn't for you, but if you want a self catering clean and comfortable little apartment at a reasonable price this is it. The apartment is around 4km from Elvas town center, with car parking at the apartment. There is a supermarket nearby. Plenty to see and do around Elvas, some stunning old fortifications and a lovely old town.

    Enjoyed a little bit of luxury at this stunning hotel. The history of the building and the interior design is quite special. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast offers a huge choice for every taste. The pool area, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi are all excellent. Every care is taken to ensure a high quality experience. I would highly recommend the Vila Cale and will stay again.

    Well designed country house style hotel with cosy atmosphere and stunning views. Beautiful garden and large swimming pool. The breakfast is very complete and the staff very kind. Starting point for excursions to several close world heritage cities like Elvas, Vila Viçosa, Evora. A must is to visit the natural mountain park of São Mamede with its old village and castle Marvão about 1.000 meter above sea level.
