The 4-star Hotel Canali, Portofino Coast is set in an elegant villa from the 20th century, a 10-minute walk through the city park from Rapallo’s centre. It offers a garden with sunbeds and a heated outdoor hot tub. Free WiFi is also available.

We enjoyed having breakfast outdoors on the terrace. All of the staff were very helpful and provided us with information regarding sightseeing trips along the coast and also for local restaurants. For the ferry trip to Cinque Terre we were advised to get the train from Rapallo to Monterosso and get the ferry from there straight to Porto Venere and on the return from Porto Venere you can hop on and off to visit Cinque Terre towns. It's worth noting that the ferry had to be paid cash. The hotel was a 15 minute walk from the centre of Rapallo.

Absolutely fantastic, everything in this hotel is beautiful from the interiors to that infinity pool. Yes, the interiors could use a little upgrade but they fit so well with the design of the room. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. The staff is super available and kind. It was a really exceptional stay in this hotel. Will return

Very elegant and stylish. Amazing classical art, has a sense of history about it. It was my wife’s birthday and when we arrived the staff had already upgraded us and our room was stunning. All the staff could not have done more to make us feel welcome and valued. Thank you!

Gorgeously equipped villa with fantastic view and all comforts provided. Lucilla the hostess is welcoming, generous with her welcome food and unobtrusive ( lives above). We had a lovely time cycling the hills nearby and walking to portofino and through the cinque terre villages. Trains are super easy to get around on but parking in the garage is fine. Suggest small car for Italy!

The interior design is a wonderful mixture of comfort and bad taste. Loved every last detail of it. There are two nice shared patios perfect for writing and reading and there’s a fridge in the room and a supermarket nearby.

Lovely clean room and bathroom. Both bigger than many European hotels where we have stayed. The design has been implemented with taste and thoughtfulness for the comfort of the guest and practical purposes. Great breakfast, and professional, helpful staff. Very much enjoyed our stay.
