Set in spacious grounds, this Victorian hotel is just a 10-minute walk from Skegness seafront and town centre. It offers two menus, an on-site restaurant, free parking, and sea views.

The rooms at The Royal Hotel provide private bathrooms, a flat-screen TV with Freeview, and DVD players on request. Hairdryers are available from reception. All rooms have tea and coffee facilities, while some rooms boast sea views and balconies.

Room was upgraded to a sea view -- very much appreciated. Breakfast was done on a timed entry, to make sure everyone didn't arrive at the same time, seemed to work well, and was very good to set us up for the day.

Claire was a great host and was there to greet us as we arrived, the lodge is stunning and a real treat compared to others we have stayed in. The furnishings were really tasteful and the lodge was short of nothing. The weather was terrible but having somewhere so luxurious to stay meant that we were able to enjoy our stay regardless. If you like somewhere a bit special to stay then this is for you. I'm leaving with some design ideas.

Stunning location in a quiet village. Well kept grounds, amazing staff. The cottage was gorgeous. Very tastefully decorated with high quality furnishings. Not a single detail had been missed, you will find that it is very, very well equipped. The enclosed garden freshly mowed on arrival was perfect for our dog to run around. There is a fishing lake, shared hot tub and playground onsite as well as a laundry room. The village beyond boasts some lovely pub restaurants for an evening out.

Everything was 5 star standard. This was a surprise for my partner and he said it's the best lodge he has ever stayed at. It was lovely to just sit on the comfy bench next to the fire after using the hot tub. The decor is beautiful and artistic, clearly a lot of thought has gone into the property. The rooms have everything you want and the kitchen has everything you need. I was also impressed with the selection of board games which was a nice added surprise The whole property is absolutely gorgeous
