Beautiful, unique hotel in lovely surroundings. Serious attention to detail on the refurbishment of the Pullman train carriages. Dinner was also delicious. Friendly and helpful staff. I loved the atmosphere in the dining room. Breakfast was also very hearty. Definitely recommend to those looking for an unusual hotel experience.

Comfortable room. Appreciated the welcome goodies left for us.
These hotels offer something a little different in the way of design and usually sit in a trendy, urban part of town. More intimate than your average hotel, they offer high standards with a homely vibe.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Welldiggers Arms. Clean and stylish room, super friendly staff, tasty breakfast and stunning views. We especially like the rolltop bath in our bedroom.
Beautiful location with stunning views. Lovely breakfast, with a good choice and great quality. Very friendly and helpful staff, made me very welcome and provided everything I asked for. Comfortable bed. Good tea/coffee facilities in room with biscuits and bottled water provided. Lovely fragranced botanical toiletries. Large, soft bath towels.
Accommodation was really nice. Lovely room with amazing toiletries. The bar and restaurant areas were lovely especially with the stunning views towards the South Downs.
We stayed in 'The Snug' for one night and it was superb. Such a lovely location with stunning view's and the restaurant itself serves up some lovely food 😋... breakfast was also really nice 👌 I'd definately recommend an overnight stay (and they allow dogs aswell, always an added bonus)
Setting is gorgeous and so peaceful. A lot of care and thought went into little things and that’s appreciated, I looked at one other shepherds hut and they required that you bring your own bedding. for the price and the quality of the hut it was just amazing. Was able to message host for an item left behind and was sent back promptly.
Lovely hut, brilliant facilities. Will 100% be back.
the house was absolutely stunning with incredible interior design. Everything was in perfect condition. Absolutely fantastic location, parking only £2.80 for 24hour period, in a gorgeous village with beuatiful shops & cafes. We visited lots of local pubs and their local indian which was one of the best indians we've ever had! The outside courtyard & dining room is perfect on a sunny day. Couldn't have asked for more from a little getaway weekend- wish we'd stayed longer! Very efficient & easy to contact host aswell!
We were made to feel very welcome by Dan, and he took us to our room rather than just telling us where to find it. The pub had a lovely atmosphere, and the room was beautifully decorated. The facilities were clean, stylish and very luxurious. The views at breakfast were simply stunning, and the breakfast menu was varied and absolutely delicious.
We loved staying at this wonderful place! Very lovely countryside aesthetic interior design, super comfortable bed, modern and clean shawer/bathroom and an exceptional view both from the room and dining area! We enjoyed breakfast and lunch very much! Oh, and the staff was just so incredibly kind and helpful! Would surely stay here again & choose a room with a bath this time! :)
Lovely, historic Inn. Room was tastefully and originally designed with lovely view to countryside. Bathroom large with big bath. Food excellent, and staff v friendly and helpful
