Bannatyne Hotel Darlington, hotel in Middlesbrough

This historical town house is less than a mile from Darlington town centre. It has free limited parking and free internet.

We were lucky enough to be upgraded this time. What a wonderful room and bathroom. Although this is not the first time I have stayed here, the rooms have always been great, but this time, it was exceptional. I wish I didn't have to go to work. Otherwise, I would have been able to sleep longer in the lovely comfortable bed!

We got held up and came late and the staff were extremely gracious when we finally turned up at 10:30pm! So, so lovely! The room was stunning, the bath was incredible, the breakfast was delicious. We had an amazing stay! There are even free sanitary products and nappies in the foyer toilets - definitely an excellent touch!

The Hotel is great value and very quiet at night. There's plenty to see and do within 30mins. Ideal base with lovely staff. For once I was more than happy with my central heated, TV and kettle facilities. It's a great budget hotel. It has a huge bed with extra clean linen. Unlike a lot of Hotels this was on the back of a busy pub, so great for a pint.

The decor was fantastic eclectic and well designed. The location was great right on the cliff. My single room was the only poor part it was like a corridor, and the fire escape light shone so brightly in the room I couldn’t sleep. The loo in the on suite dripped so I did not sleep well. The breakfast was the best I have had in 5 weeks staying in the area and dinner was nice although the mussels at dinner where not cooked with shallots or served with parsley not enough wine and too much cream.

I had an incredible stay at this property! The house was not only immaculately clean but also beautifully designed, making it a true home away from home. The amenities provided were top-notch, from the fully equipped kitchen to the luxurious bathroom. The host was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, ensuring our every need was met. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, and I'm already planning my next visit. If you're looking for a perfect getaway, this is the place to book!
