Good parking and location in town. Breakfast was brilliant. We had 5 in our party and all wanted porridge but it wasn’t on the breakfast menu that day. But the chef kindly went out of his way to make it for us. It was served with freshly sliced banana, maple syrup and a delicious nut brittle. My room was very cosy and quaint. There was even a small China teapot to make the tea in! The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The Crown is a lovely Georgian boutique hotel.

We booked this as something different we are used to more luxury or middle class hotels or boutiques so it was a nice change, the property location was amazing close drive to everything we visited durdle door, lulworth cove ,Weymouth and also monkey world. The farm was beautiful with the horses and sheep in the field and the bed was very comfy. you have bbq facilities which is cool and would be lovely to use in the summer we just didn’t have time to use it in the end.

Lovely and well presented hotel, every part from gardens, entrance, rooms, well designed and maintained. Restaurant was like an art gallery, the old style theme continued throughout to the bedroom we stayed in. Location is good, some nice short to long walks, river walks, brewery hall & Woodhouse worth a visit, good guide leaflets from the travel information shop nearby. Plenty of other restaurants and pubs nearby, so a good choice of evening options.
