These hotels offer something a little different in the way of design and usually sit in a trendy, urban part of town. More intimate than your average hotel, they offer high standards with a homely vibe.
High Modernism, Danish Style. Love it or hate it, we loved it. Loved the board marked concrete, the beautifully designed study rooms, the double height space and the stair. The fire in the communal living room is wonderful. The amazing views from the tower, the art pieces in the gardens, the amazing modernist sculptures in the foyer!!
Had a lovely one night stay: very serene. It’s a bit inconvenient to stay there if you don’t have a car and you are meaning to go to Herning. But further than that it’s very lovely surroundings make up for that.
Modern Architecture: The hotel's exterior boasted a sleek and contemporary design, which created a visually appealing first impression upon arrival.
Convenient Amenities: Hotel DGI-Huset offered several convenient amenities, including a fitness center, spa facilities, and a well-maintained swimming pool, providing opportunities for relaxation and recreation.
Good breakfast. Hot and cold options, lots of fruit and a wide variety of food. Also a really impressive cheese slicer - worth a visit just to see Danish design in action! Stored our bicycles very well.
The host, Kurt was very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The apartment was comfortable, well equipped and stylishly decorated. There was a lovely garden with games, trampoline, BBQ etc. in addition to a large games room with a table tennis table. The shower was powerful and always had hot water. The location was beautiful, very rural and peaceful but with all the shops you needed a short drive away. It gave us a great base to explore from.
