We loved staying at Casa Petunia. It was in a great location near the beach and restaurants and a short taxi ride away from the centre. The place is lovely - furnished with art and furniture from when the owners lived in Bali, and the rooms were spotless and comfortable. There is an amazing breakfast and the staff and owners are hugely welcoming and responsive - nothing is too much trouble.

Lovely hotel in really nice safe area of Salvador with good night life n restaurants beside some nice beaches. Set in beautiful old colonial building with a beautiful architect designed modern extension with lovely gardens and courtyard's and some lovely modern art.really excellent breakfast and very very helpful staff when we lost a phone and one of our party had to cut their trip short. An excellent choice, way better than Pellegrino.highly recommended and good value.
This is a charming small hotel. The beautifully restored original building has five meter ceilings, the new wing is attractively designed. Lovely small courtyard with attractive plants, and two really nice open gardens in front. The neighborhood is quite lively, some good bars and restaurants, and less than a minute walk to the beach.
It's a lovely hotel in a very nice place of Salvador, next to the sea side.
The bed has been very comfortable, the furniture was lovely designed and the breakfast was wonderful!

The hotel is beautifully located and offered everything you need. We picked it because of the interior design and amenities. The gym is up to date, the selection of the breakfast buffet extensive and the staff incredibly friendly.
If you’re not out sightseeing the pool offers a relaxing pause with drinks served right next to it. Everything is very clean and the beds comfortable. We enjoyed a great view over the city from the 11th floor.
Casa do Amarelindo sells as a 4 star, but it is a small 5 star boutique hotel. Very nice rooms, very clean, nice bathroom, fantastic small terrace (not sure if all rooms have it), pool, very good breakfast and dinner. Extremely helpful staff. We parked our car in the parking lot (5 minutes walk) and after a quick call they helped us with our bags and to find our way.
