Ko Yao Noi

Lovely family run property with five bungalows with different themes. Comfortable bed, hot shower and very kind hosts! They reserved a table at the excellent RaoDang seafood restaurant for us and even walked us there so we didn’t get lost. On finding out we were leaving early, she made us a breakfast which we had on our balconies overlooking the pond. She also liaised with our onward transport so our pick up was flawless.
There was a large fridge in the room and this would be great choice for a few nights as a base for anyone touring around with their own transport. It’s not in the centre of Khao Lak town but has plenty of shops/restaurants nearby and is close to the harbour where many of the day trips leave from.
We’d definitely return!

Located in Ban Khaek and only 37 km from Wat Bang Thong, Lodge Phang nga boutique provides accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. This country house features accommodation with a balcony. Guests can make use of a garden. The whole property was really nicely decorated throughout. The room was extremely spacious and very comfortable. Very fast WiFi and a smart TV too! The owner was really nice and very helpful; booking us an incredible boat tour to Koh Panyee and James Bond Island, as well as a driver to Samet Nangshe and also our onward travel! Would definitely recommend this hidden gem. (Cash only if paying on arrival)
Ban Bang Chak
Boasting mountain views, The Best Bungalow features accommodation with a balcony, around 2.4 km from Klong Jark Beach. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. We loved everything about this bungalow. It really feels like a private villa with gorgeous scenery surrounding it. It’s quiet so you only hear some birds sometimes, we saw a couple monkeys walking around the property too since you’re surrounded by jungle. It gets cool at night so no AC wasn’t a problem and it was actually really nice to have the windows open and fresh air all night. Poom was a great host and runs a tour company as well so she was able to book things for us and give us information about the island. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. There’s a water jug to refill water bottles in the room which is always an added bonus when travelling! We rented a scooter which Poom (host) also helped us with the first day and the location of the bungalows is perfect, there’s a coffee stall right down the hill (less than a minute walk) which was amazing! The beach is probably a 10 minute walk and a 2 minute scooter ride and there’s restaurants and shops right there as well. This was our favourite stay so far in all of our Thailand travels!! A super relaxing getaway, for the price we felt spoiled to have such an amazing place and we’re so sad to leave.

Good location. Quiet and peaceful but close to restaurants etc. lovely well equipped self catering villa. Milk, bread, sugar, water, toothpaste, soaps/shampoo provided.
Absolutely great place! Quiet, very tasty breakfasts, private beach and awe-inspiring sunsets! For me the best place to stay on Koh Yao Yai if you like a bit of luxury, but not overpriced and with a bit of local spice. We rented scooter on northern part of island (cheaper then closer to hotel). Also - small gym, but almost always empty. If you need to do cardio or small workout - great. A place to chill. We'll be back for sure. Can't wait :)

Poseidon is a beautiful haven tucked in the jungle near pristine beaches. We had a great stay there, falling asleep to the sound of distant waves and geckos. We appreciated how quiet and peaceful the place was when compared to more touristy areas of Khao Lak or Phuket. This accommodation is for nature lovers who don’t mind seeing geckos or a few insects minding their business right outside the bungalows. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They can arrange scooter rentals and taxi or bus rides.
It’s a small place totally ind the countryside, connected to nature. ( you’d need a scooter ) Houses are clean and air conditioned. The staff is very helpful and you can go feed goats nearby. Oh and the monkey herd visited us ♥️ great for walks in the countryside and quiet and rest. If you need 7/11 and bars it is far away from everything on the island.
It's a cute little hut on the beach, with nice comfy bed with mosquito nets around, bathroom located outside so you can stare at the stars as you shower , the problem is if you have to use the toilet during the day, sun will burn. Outside is nicely set up with hammocks and chairs around the area, it's peaceful and quiet , staff are lovely and breakfast very good.
We loved how peaceful and quiet it was. Really relaxing. Loved the staff team who were really friendly. The home cooking on site, beers available to buy from the fridge, simple bungalow life. Beautiful sunrise and watching the hornbills flying over. Bliss. Fave thing was the pineapple pancakes for breakfast! Comfortable stay with a beautiful view!
The room was spacious and had a comfortable bed. The location is quiet and peaceful. We saw 4-5 tokay geckos in the reception area where you can hang out as well. They sell drinks and snacks and they have complimentary coffee available in the same area. Early morning it was nice with the mist in the surroundings. We stayed for one night only. We were happy with our stay and had a very good sleep.
Breakfast is very variant and we were very pleased with it. YAO YAI island is very quiet and peaceful with not many attractions so we did not exit the hotel at all days. If you are looking for the most luxurious rooms and spoiling accommodation at a reasonable price, this hotel is for you.
