Helena is an artist with exquisite taste and you can see that reflected in everything she does. She is kind, warm and generous. The breakfast feast is amazing. So many choices even for us vegetarians. The shower was lovely, incredibly hot. The bed was so comfortable and extra large, the biggest bed I've ever seen. Our dogs were kindly welcomed and they enjoyed their vacation. The views on the property will take your breath away. We will definitely be back soon!

The house is surrounded by olive trees and has a furnished porch overlooking the scenic surrounding area. There are inviting swing beds on the edge of the water. The region is ideal for outdoor activities such as picnicking, fishing or hiking. Platters of local appetisers accompanied by quality Alentejo wine are available for guests, upon request. Isabel and João are the soul of that place. They will make all the efforts to make you feel at home. The surroundings are amazing.

All meals are available upon request and a candlelight dinner can be served. We loved everything about our stay at Casa do Governador. A very peaceful spot just a few minutes drive from Evora. The property is extensive with olive groves and vineyards to wander through. The pool was refreshing after a hot day touring Evora. We stayed in the main house and the room was large, beds comfortable. Staff were very attentive and helpful for our requests. Breakfast was plentiful with hot and cold options and we had dinner one night that was delicious. Would highly recommend a stay at this gracious country home.
