Located within 16 km of Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary and 19 km of Douro Museum, Quinta de São Pedro provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Barrô. The little basket with bread, juice, meats and cheeses were light and lovely. After eating so late at night in Portugal I really didn't need a large breakfast.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip here! The view of the valley was absolutely breathtaking, the breakfast was delicious, and the wine tasting we scheduled there was our best in all of Portugal!

Quinta da Pousada Casa de Campo, a property with free bikes and a garden, is set in Santa Marta de Penaguião, 26 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary, 28 km from Natur Waterpark, as well as 19 km... The owners/hosts made the experience absolutely wonderful. The port wine tasting and dinner experience was one for the books. The property was gorgeous,clean and well maintained.

So beautiful, so peaceful and so warm. My favorite stay ever! A pristine view over the river and the mountains unmatched in Douro. Sitting on a hammock just enjoying the senses of the terroir, being embraced by nature in all its magnitude. I could have stayed on that moment forever. Silence. Cidalia welcomes you as family, genuine tenderness and so much knowledge to share. The breakfast is amazing, served to you on the terrace by Cidalia’s son, a young and inventive Chef. Two hiking trails depart from the property (8k and 20km for the most brave) and are a great way to discover the region. Last but not least the mattress and pillows are very comfortable! A jewel I wish many of others to find!

This 17th-century mansion offers contemporary-style rooms with modern comforts in Provesende, a 15-minute drive from Pinhão Train Station. Morgadio da Calçada is 11 km from Douro River. We had an exceptional stay at Morgadio da Calcada. Daniela was welcoming and her communication leading up to our stay was excellent. The property is a true gem. Beautifully restored buildings make for one of kind guest rooms. Much thought and consideration has been put into the design and details of the rooms and property making for an excellent guest experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the 4 course dinner with wine pairing. Manuel, the owner, and the chef explained the food and wine pairing choices throughout. A wonderful experience dining outdoors as the sun set over the vineyards. Breakfast was fantastic with fresh eggs prepared to your liking. The drive to the property from Pinhão was the most scenic portion of our drive through the Douro Valley. Thank you to the whole team for a wonderful birthday experience.

Featuring an outdoor swimming pool, this country retreat is located 180 km from Oporto, within typical Portuguese stone houses. Cottage is a lovely spot and amazing view. Staff and owner are friendly and agreeable with a delicious breakfast. Plus, a store selling wines, port, olive oil, and much more. Excellent products and prices.

El Casa de Casal de Loivos està ubicat en una mansió del segle XVII i ofereix allotjament acollidor. I stayed at Casa de Casal de Loivos for two nights with my boyfriend as a getaway weekend. The view is stunning, absolutely beautiful. The room was modern and with all the comforts you could need. You can have dinner at the place for €27,5 (beverages excluded), recommended. The staff was amazing. I hope I can return one day soon.

Located in a medieval castle in Castelo Rodrigo, this hotel has a garden and a fireplace. Free internet is available. The entire visit was stunning. The small historic town, the room, the view and the staff.
