Centrally located on N222, the hotel has easy access to explore Rio Douro Valley. It is better to rent a car. Roads are in very good condition. We had delicious lunch in Castas e Pratos and DOC in front of the river. We recommend to visit small Quinta do Tedo for a personal wine tasting. We saved one day for a private 2-hour boat trip down the rive with Magnifico Douro in Pinhao. Instead of a uncomfortable group rabelo boat trip, we rented their Viosinho boat. This trip was well worth it. We enjoyed our 2-night stay in São Luiz The Vine House. Our trip to Rio Douro Valley was perfect. Nov 2023

The beds are extremely comfortable. Everything is pristine. The large pool is beautiful. Horses on site, their own wine produced from grapes on the property. Plus the nicest hosts!
