The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The place clean, sunny and the oerfect size for two ppl with baggage. We would definetly come back if we could! Very good prize for what is offered.

We arrived quite late from Auckland airport but Alan welcomed us warmly. The room was comfortable with coffee, tea and homemade cakes. Nice spacious room with a big bathroom, and a pretty balcony and terrace overlooking the pretty garden. The small town is a couple of minutes away with plenty of options to eat. We had a delicious home cooked breakfast with many options all of which were great. Alan gave us some very good tips for travelling and things to visit on our way up North.

Everything was clean and comfortable, we were upgraded as soon as we arrived, the food was excellent and good value, the bar staff were so friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is of luxury, with an amazing view of the sky tower at night from the atrium bar. I would recommend, and we will visit again. The room was quiet and peaceful. Parking was reasonable, and so convenient.
we received a lovely warm welcome when we arrived. The room was newly fully renovated. The room was spotless and very clean. The bedding and towels were clean and luxurious. We truly loved everything about Wairimu Lodge. From the beautifully decorated room and luxurious bathroom, to the view, to the thoughtful touches including ample breakfast options (even croissants!). It was so quiet and peaceful, and felt incredibly private despite being attached to Peta & Rich's house. Peta & Rich are incredibly generous hosts, and the welcome book provided gave us so many helpful hints about the property, the local area, and even included up-to-date menus of local eateries.
It was a beautiful little cottage in the countryside - it was very quiet and peaceful! Short drive to town to restaurants and shops, and not far from Hobbiton which is why we went to Matamata originally. The owners of this BnB take great care of it and a lot of love has gone into setting it up.

I really appreciated no noises and it just so peaceful and quiet. We both fully enjoyed the bubbles in our spa bath and double shower bathroom relaxing. Definitely a honeymoon suite. I recommend this one too everyone that needs R & R as it’s a luxurious, gorgeous surroundings and photos of original 1926 completion of The Manor Views was a pleasure too see. I love gardening so I felt right at home. Tasteful wall arts and decor was so inviting it was like being at home.
