Our host, Thomas, was very accommodating and served up the best breakfasts and hospitality above and beyond. Literary discussions were a definite plus, including but especially regarding W. B. Yeats and James Joyce (Finnegan's Wake - now on my must read/hear list). My wife seconds this recommendation, so two thumbs way up! Would definitely stay here again. Slainte!

Tollyrose Country House is set a few minutes’ walk from Tollymore Forest Park. The family-run bed and breakfast is located next to the Mourne Mountains. Within 5 km of the property you will find Newcastle coastal town, Royal Country Down Golf Course, Murlough Beach and Slieve Donard Mountain. The property is also 7 km away from Dundrum Castle. We had a phantastic stay! Helen was really friendly and helpful, we felt at home right away. The room was spacious, spottles clean with a really comfortable bed. The breakfast was outstanding, probably the best we had during our two week stay (and the others weren't bad either ;) ). Just acroos the street there is an entrance to the beautiful Tollymore Forest Park.

Dromore House - Historic Country House is situated on private grounds, 7 km from Coleraine, and 18 km from Portrush on the Wild Atlantic Way.

Some rooms feature and an en-suite bathroom and one room has a private external bathroom. Free toiletries and towels are provided. The breakfast was phenomenal, both in terms of quality and quantity. Each day we were given a choice of as many items as we wanted off the menu, including eggs, bacon, toast, Irish bread, marmalade, honey, fruit, granola, yogurt, tea, different types of coffee, and more. We over-ordered the first day, not realizing how substantial the portions would be! Breakfast was served in a well decorated dining room, with the seating arranged so we could easily talk with other guests if we so desired. Overall a great experience.
