Amazing host Steven and his wife. we arrived very late and were the only guests in the hotel . He kindly made a delicious dinner for us . also he has a great choice of wines.

The breakfast was excellent. Best bacon I have tasted in a long time. The house was so comfortable and our hostess very helpful. We loved our room and everything functioned from the shower to the feather duvets. Highly recommended 10 out of 10

Offering all the warmth and charm of an English country house combined with friendly service and attention to detail of your hosts, the Hassell family, Ilsington Country House Hotel & Spa has something for everyone. The food was exceptionally good. Every meal was delicious, and they were extremely cautious and accommodating toward allergies and dietary restrictions. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

You can tell that it was made/designed with great care. Also Amy and Jared where so friendly. We had a lovely chat with Amy and we even got some of there chocolates to take home, so sweet!

Amazing location, with a beautiful big garden with outdoor seating and playing outdoor games and with a BBQ Which we used.

The owners of the property have dogs, horses, breed sheep, chickens and geese. They also grow most of their own vegetables and fruit. The Linhay is situated in quiet surroundings enabling guests to relax, unwind and enjoy the peace and local wildlife. We didn't have breakfast. Everything was fine. Host was very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble.

A very spacious, clean and well equipped property with everything you need for a comfortable stay for up to 8 or 9 people. It definitely exceeded our expectations. John was a welcoming and helpful host. Very quiet and peaceful location with lovely views of the countryside. Supermarket just a 3 minute drive away. Lots to do nearby, plenty of activities for kids and adults. We hired bikes and went north on the Tarka Trail which was a great day out. Would highly recommend this property for a relaxing stay.
For those who want a location that is peaceful and quiet, this is the place for you ! Dogs on property, not a problem at all. If anything, they provided us with free entertainment ! Lovely view of countryside and sea from the property.

They scenery was amazing, beautiful countryside and sea views. The location was quiet and peaceful despite being so close to town. The hosts were very welcoming, couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast was delicious. There was a pool that could be used for a small additional fee. The weather was nice and we just enjoyed relaxing outside by the seaview terrace that even had a fountain. There were plenty of modcons in the room itself including a mini fridge.

Wonderful shepherds hut in a beautiful, peaceful, rural location! Very friendly, welcoming and professional hosts. The shepherds hut is fully kitted out with everything you could need with fabulous attention to detail and luxurious interior design. It was very comfortable and cosy, we especially enjoyed lighting the stove at night. The shepherds hut overlooks the rolling North Devon countryside and has spectacular views - such a treat to wake up to! A true glamping experience! Can't wait to stay again in the future, thank you so much!
