We loved staying at Malis Castera. It was happy place and a rendezvous point for meeting up with my brother who had been traveling in Spain. Our room was very large and comfortable, with an oversized modern bathtub and separate shower. It was just a short drive to St. Emilion for a little wine tasting. Although we had booked dinner at a michelin-starred restaurant in St. Emillion, we cancelled that in favor of a very tasty family-style dinner at the inn. Our gracious host prepared the tasty dinner himself. The next morning he gave us a tour of the rennovations underway for a large living and dining area and kitche at the "Petite Chateau."

The château went through a renovation process and now looks bran new, but keeping the history and all heritage. Just loved it.

Our host Rafael helped in all the ways possible, it was a cozy family type location. We enjoyed our two night stay, it was very close Bordeaux but also felt away in greenery. The chateaux was so nice but the homey attitude of the host and all the family made us feel so welcome. We would definitely recommend it to everyone and would love to come back. It was very conveniently located to plan visits to wine regions.

I’m very picky with hotels and usually try to stay at luxury properties. Chateau Bonalgue showed me a different side. The rooms are comfortable and very nicely appointed (actually I recommend the team to take the pictures again, as the pictures on the listing make the rooms look of inferior quality, when they are actually very nice). The peaceful atmosphere is the vineyard and our 5 year old son discovery and learning was priceless. The whole team was superb. Already missing it.

With a restaurant, the 4-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. Guests can have a drink at the bar. This hotel is gorgeous! The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The pool is lovely and such beautiful surroundings with a 360 view of vines. So quiet. The restaurant was also delicious! Couldn’t be happier with our choice!

After a day of windsurfing, cycling or fishing, guests can relax in the garden or in the shared lounge area. Everything! Kelly and Elian been lovely host. Very beautiful place and homey! Lovely breakfast by the pool. Located in the heart of chateaus and vineyard, everything is just within 5 min drive or few ten minutes with bike!

Julien and his family have though of everything. The rooms and property were beautiful and impeccably clean. The pool was the perfect temperature for late summer and the daily breakfast was huge and delicious! We were even offered to help pick some grapes during the harvest - highly recommend a stay at Chateau Haut-Clarise!
