Our host was fantastic at communicating, both before we arrived and during our stay. She went out of her way to explain where the nearest and best restaurants were (we do not speak Spanish, so she did a brilliant job!). The accommodation was rural so the scenery was beautiful. Breakfast included everything is should and more..the highlight being rich, dark honey for our bread and yoghurt!

In the countryside around Cabo Do Mundo you can enjoy hiking, cycling, river cruises and wine tasting. Ourense's famous hot springs are close by too. The place is mindblowing! Thanks to Ana we felt very welcome with our doggo. She was always available and happy to help as much as she could. The hotel is quite far from any civilization, which is the perk of it, so mind having food and snacks. There is a menu you can pre-order, but we didn't use it. Also, it's a vinery, so you can but their own vine. The territory itself is great to chill and enjoy remote life. There are walking trails right from the place, but it's moderately challenging. Insects, mosquitos and hornets are all around, be aware. Super comfy room, amazing furniture and generally one of the best out in nature stays I have had. Recommend!

The property was really amazing! We were really pleased with our room. It was clean and really beautiful. The room is really quiet and the staff is very welcoming. The house also features a lot of common spaces that are amazing. The breakfast was good and the quality/price ratio is unbeatable!

Great location and peaceful atmosphere, perfect place to rest your head while you are exploring the Ribeira Sacra. Xurxo was an excellent host!

The surrounding area is ideal for hiking, fishing and paragliding. Bárcena Lake and Lago de Sanabria y Alrededores Park can be reached in 2 hours by car. This is a stunningly beautiful location. The building is authentic and perfectly restored with very comfortable beds, relaxing common areas and a pool. We loved the friendly and helpful staff. The hiking was rewarding with amazing views. The meals were delicious and local specialties were served daily.

Casa Grande de Soutullo’s individually-styled rooms feature hardwood floors and antique furniture. They are located on the first floor and include a private bathroom with a bath and shower. Some have internet connection, others are equipped with a TV. Wonderful house, garden and pool! Also a 20min walk from a few small bars / supermarket. Staying for longer you'd want a car tho. Because we didn't have a car Benito went out of his way to offer us a lift to ourense and more! Very accommodating hosts.

The Casa is a traditional country house, with rustic stone and wood décor. Each comfortable room has a balcony and a TV. Rooms are heated and have a private bathroom. Lovely cozy country house feel. The staff were so friendly, attentive and patient with our kids. The spacious grounds and beautiful views provided a relaxing atmosphere. We loved having breakfast and dinner on the terrace, the staff prepare many dishes (empanadas and bizcocho for example) in a wood-fired oven! Lastly, everyday Berni the owner gave us great tips on exploring the region and getting the best out of La Ribeira Sacra.
