This was one of the best stays we have ever had. The villa was very large, well-equipped and had a stunning view from the terrace. We enjoyed sitting there all day long. The breakfast was incredible; fresh products in a basket every morning. We also very much enjoyed the wine and olive oil tasting: Pedro is a fantastic host with great knowledge of the products.

This is a beautiful, working farm with comfortable accommodation and an exceptional, though slightly quirky, experience. We enjoyed the remote and peaceful location, the ferry across the river, the ability to be part of the vineyard and understand the process of wine production, the goats and peacocks and the refreshing infinity pool with fabulous vistas. Breakfast is served in a wonderful family room with vast windows overlooking the river. We came during grape harvest and loved it.
The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes based in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, such as trekking, birdwatching and cycling.

Delfina and Bruno were absolutely amazing hosts—so lovely and kind. The property was perfect: quiet, comfortable, clean, fully equipped, and well-located. They even offered us a really good wine.
The location was perfect, quiet, tranquil and wonderful views. An easy walk into town. Our hosts were very attentive and informative about the area with excellent sugestions for eating and drinking and exploring some local quintas. Breakfast was great!
The owner was very helpful and polite. A gorgeous small house, modernised to a very good standard. Everything worked perfectly. Well equipped. The location was good for the town, just a short walk. Thanks for the fruit and water. Very peaceful.
The perfect place to relax and unwind on the banks of the Douro river. The site is just amazing with rooms surrounded by vineyards and sunny hills. Great activities such as kayaking on the river, hiking trails and wine tastings. All guests gather at the restaurant at night where 3 tasty options are available with free flow of the property wines. The staff is super kind and makes sure that you enjoy your time with them.
The property, the breakfast, the location, the hosts, the facilities were all excellent. A real treat in a lovely part of the country with so much history and stunning countryside on the doorstep. A couple of days stay is not enough!
The facilities at the quinta were lovely, the owners were very friendly and kind. The breakfast was good and plentiful. It is quiet and peaceful place to relax. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Breakfast was good. As other reviews indicated, it is a bit remote and narrow street to get to it but such a beautiful, quiet and peaceful location. Anabela was always quick to respond to any question or request. All staff lovely and welcoming.
Stunning location overlooking countryside and vineyards. Lovely old stone country house. Charming and friendly hosts.
