This is a lovely small hotel that has a feel of a family run establishment. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a rustic charm where guests are greeted by the family cat. The views are incredible and there is plenty of room to sit in the garden to enjoy the vista.

Excellent breakfast with more than enough for the two of us. We were staying in December and the host kindly lit the fire in the sitting room for us as it was cold and damp outside. The host was very supportive and kind and even offered his help if I needed it, whilst I was walking in the Alentejo on a walking journey to the Uk from the Algarve. I think this would be a brilliant place to stay in the Summer months

we were travelling by public transport and there was no bus at the time we arrived. we contacted Helena to ask for the number of a taxi bus when we arrived in Reguenos, half an hour away she was waiting to greet us and take us to Monsaraz. Great hospitality.

The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes based in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, such as trekking, birdwatching and cycling.
Absolutely beautifully-appointed apartment with everything you could need. The bed was so comfortable - I don't think I've had a better one in all my travels. Air con was very effective and the bathroom/shower of a high standard. The two swimming pools on site were wonderful - one shallower and warmer, the other larger and deeper. Very peaceful at night, distant from the lights of towns, and glorious for star-gazing. Cesar and the rest of the staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful and we were very sad to leave.
The breakfast was ok, not much variety but the essentials were there, the coffee was freshly made and very good. The quietness of the place, and the swimming pool. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was great with good water pressure and temperature.
Casa Terena is located in the old part of Terena. Our room was very quiet with views over the surrounding countryside. Super comfortable beds and well appointed en suite shower room, plenty of hot water.
Excellent, delicious,very generous breakfast. Our host Altino was very cheerful and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We stayed for 3 nights and wished that we could have stayed much longer. Definitely the place to stay to discover the real Alentejo. Wonderful swimming pool and garden situated about 150m away from the property
Quiet place in a small village deep in Alentejo, surrounded by a traditional and amazing landscape.
Besides the generous breakfast with local products, the staff was always super welcoming and ready with nice recommendations.
The pool has one of the most amazing views you can imagine.
Everything seems to be done with love and thought through.
We will definitely come back!
The place was amazing! Cozy, clean and peaceful. Hosts were really friendly, they even checked if we have everything. I would recommend this to everyone who will be around. :)
Property was very well furnished and tasteful. The owners were very friendly and accommodating and would have let us check out very late. A lovely surprise in the middle of the countryside.
