    Sílvia is an amazing host and took care to make our stay comfortable. You must ask her about her home made jam, it's super yummy. The house was clean and had everything we needed, it was homely and the bed was comfortable. The place also had a washing machine and washing line which we needed after our stay in São Miguel. The location was great with a beautiful view of mount Pico and the ocean, and is close to a natural Pool. It is also a peaceful area and overall a perfect stay. We felt very relaxed during our stay.

    The apartment was sufficiently big and had three nice rooms, fully equipped kitchen, living room and a large terrace. Very quiet place, where you only hear the birds song. We arrived few hours before the official check in time and although the apartment was not completely ready yet, they allowed us to store our luggage and use the already cleaned rooms.

    Very comfortable beds and blankets, small but cosy space. Exceptional reception from the house owner! Welcome items like home made jam, tea and coffee, and some toys for our small one 😊. All the basics available for cooking and bath. The front terrace is very pleasant when the weather is good. Excellent, quiet place for resting and long walks.

    At first Casa da Ilha seemed to be a quiet countryside house with all of the modern amenities. The property itself is very good and the host Rui was excellent plus went out of his way to make us feel welcome. It is across the road from well-known vineyards and a short drive from the windmill and town centre.
