A delightful stay in a unique village in the mountains. Easy parking outside the village but not far to walk to accommodation. There is a map in the square at the entrance to the village that indicates where Casa da Urze is located. Very friendly and helpful onsite hosts. We had dinner and breakfast there. I highly recommend this cosy little comfortable home in a peaceful village. It was very clean and well decorated & equipped with everything we needed for self catering. The shower had great pressure and the air conditioning and outdoor private pool were very much appreciated during the hot weather. We met Jorge, the owner, and he was friendly and very helpful.

The location was good, very quiet and good walking distance to the Passadiços do Cerro da Candosa ( for those who enjoy walking). Swimming pool was good.
The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes based in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, such as trekking, birdwatching and cycling.
The village is small, authentic and very nice (almost all the village is remade for touristic apartments), situated in the mountains, with beautiful views on the way. Not far from the apartment is a beautiful waterfall (trail down the village) and also hiking trail for all day long.
For those who want a beautiful view, a quiet place, in front of nature. The residents are receptive and you have the impression of a trip back in time, towards the past. Very suitable for those who want to disconnect from the busy life in big cities. Also a nice place for couples.

Beautifully decorated little house, with small kitchen and lovely bathroom. It had everything you need. Very nice and helpful staff. Great pool with gorgeous view. All that in beautiful peaceful little village. We definitely recommend it and would like to go back to it.
