We loved the garden and chickens walking around. All was good, the staff was helpful. The view was nice too. The rabbit came to visit us once in the evening. The shop is very close.

We stayed in the Levadinha cottage and we loved this place!
Our cottage had a single bedroom and a fully equipped kitchen, incl. oven and espresso capsule machine. We also used the dehumidifier in the living room, but there was only so much it could do. Cleaning was done every other day. No washing machine, but laundry service offered by the host.
The entire valley was quiet and peaceful, there are gardens around the cottages and it was great to relax there on a sunbed and watch the stars at night. Several cats and peacocks tend to visit.
Also, we felt the location was great for trips around the island. The property has an easy access road (by Madeiran standards) and in Camacha, the road connects to new tunnels and the highway around the island. Overall, very convenient for beginner drivers like us.
Finally, I liked the levada that crossed the property. It is not one of the busy ones, so we never saw any crowds. But if you follow it to the right, it will take you to Camacha in 15 minutes (good for shopping or dinner on foot). In the other direction, it would take you to the football stadium of the islands's top team, which I thought was cool.

The accommodation was beautiful, clean, and tidy. The terrace with a view of Funchal was amazing, and every room was well-prepared. The kitchen was also well-equipped. The environment was quiet and pleasant without much noise, and there was a nearby shop for food.
Communication with the provider was very pleasant and quick. Everything was done via WhatsApp, and it was possible to write or call – in both cases, the communication was excellent.
We are very satisfied with the accommodation and highly recommend it.

Everything! We had a perfect stay at Casas de Pedra. Our small house had everything we needed plus more and is so cosy and nicely decorated. The property with the garden is so beautiful and quiet. I was positively surprised that full service was provided - everything was cleaned perfectly every day and the breakfast is placed in the fridge so you can have it in your own time. Best stay in Madeira!
It was the most enjoyable and peaceful holiday we had. The birds would wake us up and the day started well that way. We had no car which was not a real problem as we took the local buses into Funchal and other places we wanted to go but if you do have a car it would even be easier. At the bottom of the lane was a great restaurant Katespero and they serve wonderful food and on days we couldn't face the walk back the owners gave us a lift home, so kind.
Quinta da Moscadinha was surprisingly quiet and peaceful. We were pleased that our fellow guests also enjoyed the tranquility of the hotel, as there was very little noise. Breakfast was lovely, plenty of options. The staff were extremely helpful and polite.
The bus stop to Funchal was close to the hotel, which was very useful.

A lovely quiet and relaxing place, feels like a luxurious getaway. The staff are lovely, the animals on the property are the cutest. I’d highly recommend and breakfast was delicious! It is everything and more and looks even better than the photos.
Very cosy, quiet and peaceful. Beautiful garden (forest?? It's huge) all around. Great facilities including very solid wifi. Good location for people with a car, close to a lot of attractions (Funchal, hiking routes: PR8, PR1). Great communication from Sofia too!

The location is absolutely lovely! so many trees and plants and flowers and even peacocks 😃 it is an old traditional house, we liked the style anf the chimney is great 👌it was very quiet and peacefully. The water was also great, as hot as you would like and with pressure🙂
