Lake Femunden is the second largest lake in Norway, and guests can rent boats from the property for fishing or exploring the lake. Hiking and cycling are also popular in the area, while the Swedish skiing area of Idre Fjäll is only an hour’s drive away.

We had a great stay at Vestre Sorken Feriegard. It is a special place. All the buildings are old but fully renovated and functional. Everything is spotless clean. You can enjoy the nature: lake with little beach, wild animals... The host was very kind and showed us several old houses converted in museum. It´s probably the best ethnographic museum we have ever visited! We will be happy to stay again.

The lake view and historic farm buildings were peaceful. We even had an opportunity to eat some lake white fish and video a herd of reindeer.

Very interesting old buildings, authentic furnishings, peaceful surroundings. A lake is nearby, it is possible to go swimming. We also liked the forest trails where, if you are lucky, you can meet a reindeer. Very pleasant host who told a lot about the history of the place.
