Did not live up to expectations. Room was a bit shabby, bathroom was tiny. Staff indifferent. We did not stay. Everything looked a bit knocked about.

Everything was absolutely lovely, it felt like a wedding venue that is how pretty it is. We loved the location, in the middle of the vineyards and with a beautiful view. You can reach Siena and Florence easily within 20-30 minutes by car. There is enough to do in the area such as wine tasting, restaurants, but just chilling by the pool for a day is also lovely. Nothing in the area is walking distance so a car is mandatory but there are great restaurants within 5-10 minutes. The hosts are so amazing as well with great tips for the area and parking. The room was cleaned daily and we even received cookies, new coffee and tea everyday and bread and toaster are also provided. We could not have wished for a better place. Although we are people who keep to themselves, we enjoyed the chats as well. We stayed the second week of September and it did rain quite a lot (unlucky!!) and was a bit chilly sometimes but we still enjoyed the room and the nearby cities a lot.

The house was renovated from an old farm house, very authentic, simple, but well equipped, air conditioning, full kitchen, rest area, great swimming pool.

The property is exceptional! Peaceful, beautiful, tranquil, safe - all the wonderful adjectives you can think of. It offers all the mod-cons and a true Tuscan experience. The property was immaculate and the host Alex, was extremely generous with his time and his suggestions as well as making sure buckets full of coffee and delicious olive oil were available. The property has olive groves and fruit trees throughout. Then there’s the pool - magical! Loved it!
Everything exceeded all of my expectations. San Donato in Poggio is so cute, it’s the perfect location in Tuscany. The room was huge and extremely nice and comfortable. Very quiet and peaceful. My partner and I truly loved staying here! The breakfast was also great!
The palazzo is located in a charming village, it is small but quiet and beautiful and has a pharmacy, ATM, 2 main restaurants, a kids playground and possibility of free parking. Views around of the Tuscan countryside are stunning.
The hotel itself is very authentic, we feel welcomed almost like part of the family. Maria was very helpful when I was sick for a few days. Breakfast was very complete and good.
It is a great place to cruise around the Chianti region, i highly recommend!
