Arches Country House, country house in Donegal

Overlooking Lough Eske and the Blue Stack Mountains, the family-run Arches Country House is set within magnificent private gardens. The stylish property offers free Wi-Fi throughout and free onsite parking.

The location was very scenic, quiet and private.The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and had a beautiful view of Lough Eske and the Blue Stack mountains from the window. All facilities were excellent including the breakfast. Noreen was very friendly and helpful.

    Thee was a turf fire lt on our arrival which was lovely. Milk bread ,tea and coffee was provided ( Thank You ) and everything we needed was there. The location is superb. Very quiet and peaceful just some sheep and deer for neighbours. We had to return to collect a bag that we had left behind and were offered the use of the cottage for another night due to it being late. Tracey (owner ) and her sister went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our stay in Biddys cottage

    Lough Mardal Lodge is a quiet and peaceful location off the beaten track. The lodge is beautiful and well maintained. The yurts and the beds were incredibly comfortable and cosy. Would highly recommend this to all nature lovers, and we hope to be coming back here one day.

    Beautiful, peaceful, quiet location. The building has been recently restored and the owners have obviously taken a lot of care and effort in their choices. Bed in the main bedroom is wonderfully comfortable

    It was out in the countryside just outside Donegal town beautiful countryside & so peaceful absolutely fab for our little group & it would def be brilliant for family’s so much freedom & great location will def be back again to stay 👍

    Stunning location just a few minutes walk from the most beautiful quiet beach, and fabulous ocean views from the property. Rooms are not luxurious but spacious and clean. Guests have use of the kitchen which is well stocked, and there is a lovely terrace with seating and a view of the ocean outside the kitchen/diner area.

    Arches Country House is a perfect place to relax. We enjoyed a comfortable accomodation and a lush breakfast. We had a room with a lovely view on the lake and the surrouding woods. It was very quiet and the furnishing of the spacious room was luxurious. We went on hiking trails nearby and took lovely trips to the cliffs and the shore. Noreen provided us with a perfekt breakfast and she gave us useful tips for our trip. We highly recommend Arches Country House. We would have loved to stay longer! Thank you Noreen!!

    The room was very clean and well appointed and a good size. Breakfast was very good with a good buffet selection. The landlady Theresa was very helpful with suggestions for trips. There is a kitchen available for your use to make tea coffee etc. Due to its setting it is very quiet and peaceful with views over the countryside
