Location was excellent as was the food at both breakfast and evening meal. Choice and value of lunches was very good. Terrace area was lovely for sitting out in the garden. We travelled to Keswick by public transport and information supplied by the hotel was accurate. The bus stop was only a short, easy walk from the hotel.
The hotel is in 15 acres of grounds, with lawns up to the shores of Lake Ullswater. The Inn On The Lake offers stylish en suite rooms with freeview TV, free WiFi and tea/coffee facilities.

It's in a fantastic location with amazing views over the valley. It's a great base for walking and sightseeing, with lots of options and bus routes really close by. The property, although small, is well equipped and furnished.
The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes based in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, such as trekking, birdwatching and cycling.
The building and grounds are picturesque and so very Lake District. The staff were all friendly and very helpful.
The room, while basic, was comfortable and peaceful. It’s in a great location with ease of access to many places and is opposite Wordsworth’s cottage!
I was staying at the front of the hotel and the WiFi was superb.
I found Rydal hall to be a very peaceful and tranquil place. It's gardens and the view are amazing and walking around them was just wonderful. I will definitely book Rydal hall again if I ever visit the Lake District. I 100% recommend it to anyone!

A very quiet and peaceful hotel ideally placed for walking in the lake district. The hotel grounds and waterfalls are worthy of a visit in their own right.
Great breakfast and catered for gluten free food.
There’s a wonderful ambience to the place…friendly, calm, peaceful and in the middle of fantastic Lakeland countryside.
I had a single room which was spacious and had an en suite.
Best thing about Rydal hall is its building, gardens and location. Fantastic views from my room window. Short walks to rydal fall and rydal caves. Very peaceful and quiet area. Cannot ask for a better location for a short stay.😍😍😍
