The house was amazing, but little more attention to detail. Also room was cold. Owner were lovely and made us very welcome. Breakfast lovely. House is in a lovely spot with great scenic views.

The Pink House, hotel in Hay-on-Wye

Set in Brecon and only 48 km from Elan Valley, The Pink House offers accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking.

We loved staying with Hannah at the Pink House, the bedrooms are decorated beautifully and everything was considered and stylish. We enjoyed the fact that we were staying in a busy family home with a great atmosphere. We were appreciative of the kettle facilities in the landing. The only improvement would be the option of a breakfast bag with crossaint/ juice/ fruit etc or similar like self-service cereal, as although Brecon is only a 10 minute drive away, it is handy to have a breakfast option if you are out for the day and haven't factored in a visit to town. The host made it very clear that breakfast wasn't provided beforehand, so this was not a surprise and we planned accordingly. Hannah had recommended some local pubs and had dinner at the Three Horseshoes in Groesffordd which was delicious but we aware that the kitchen closes at 8pm.

Central location but quiet inside making it a peaceful haven in a popular tourist town. Well equipped with what a visitor for a short/medium length stay would need. Instructions for entry were clear and helpful advice about parking nearby was appreciated.

Di was a friendly, bubbly host and I was in a cosy, quiet attic room overlooking the pretty, peaceful village. I loved the old stone building we were in and its location in the heart of town. The breakfasts were amazing and abundant and the heated indoor swimming pool was a huge bonus for me, although for health and safety reasons you must always swim with at least one other person. Luckily I was visiting a friend in Hay, so we always went together. I would definitely come back here to stay in the attic room again.

The breakfast was amazing, to be honest I would travel back just for the breakfast! it was far superior to any other B&B or hotel! The setting is gorgeous, we ate in the conservatory which is surrounded by a back field with sheep and a baby lamb. Super peaceful and quiet too

What a fabulous stay, just outside Hay On Wye, less than 10 minutes walk, this comfortable downstairs barn conversion was a perfect retreat. Well presented and styled, welcoming; flowers on the table, provisions in the kitchen, bread, milk, butter... Well kitted kitchen, comfortable living room and bedroom. Peaceful and quiet get away, surrounded by fields.. Welcoming hosts. Would recommend.

Excellent location, near the centre of Hay-on-Wye, but still quiet and peaceful. The cottage was spacious, well maintained and meticulously clean. It had everything we could possibly need and we all found it very comfortable. The best place we have stayed in Hay yet (out of 6 different accomodations). I would highly recommend this accomodation, it is great value for money.

A lovely, cosy, compact little flat with a rustic style and distinct character. It was really very quiet and peaceful, with no TV, which suited us fine - there were lots of books to browse. Parking right outside the property, and everything we needed for a lovely stay inside. Instructions were very clear and easy to follow and the owner was in contact to check we were settling in. It was very convenient for Hay town centre , bookshops and cafes less than 5 minutes from the house - it was exactly what we had been looking for.

Excellent location just a short walk from the centre of Hay on Wye. Nice to be able to go out to eat in the evening and not have to drive. Lovely and quiet and great to hear the sound of the birds. Beautiful surrounding countryside. We were lucky to have great weather although not quite warm enough to sit on the veranda.

The apartment is in an ideal location for visiting Hay town and the surrounding countryside. You can walk from the property to the town and access a wide range of bookshops, antique shops and places to eat. The location is very quiet and the property has been fitted out to a very high standard with well fitted kitchen, spacious shower and luxurious bedding.
