The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes based in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, such as trekking, birdwatching and cycling.
This is an absolutely lovely property in a great location for exploring Devon. It was very easy to find and the owners were very friendly and helpful. The place is decorated and fitted to an extremely high quality and the area was quiet and peaceful (don't be put off by the proximity of the airport, we didn't hear a single plane all weekend). This is about as perfect as a place to stay gets.
Incredible luxury cabin with a clever interior layout, beautiful styling (and lighting design) and a thousand thoughtful touches to make the stay a joy. The location is magical, with the four glass doors opening onto a deck positioned perfectly at the top of hill overlooking a panoramic view of the local Devon countryside (and stunning sunsets). Also so much wildlife! During our relatively short 2 night stay we watched birds of prey, bats (above the cabin at dusk) and deer. An absolute gem of a place. Thank you again James & Anna!
Loved the separate bee keepers cottage. Felt very peaceful quiet and beautiful attention to detail. Gorgeous furnishings and all the staff were absolutely amazing, couldn’t have done enough for us, so welcoming and friendly.
This is our second time staying at Elbury Farm. That's because the location is so peaceful, and the annexe is a lovely spacious accommodation, as is the beautiful garden, perfect for doggies and bird watching. The beds are comfy too. Laundry room is a bonus. The little conservatory was my favourite place to curl up on the sofa and read my book.
Kat & Alex are very friendly and approachable but give you your privacy. Thanks again for a great stay!
Parking close to rooms, breakfast lovely , wide selection of food, also provided meals throughout the day although I didn't need this service, rooms cleaned every day , it was on edge of Exeter, countryside surounding hotel , very quiet peaceful
Charming Luxury Country house well appointed with patio and garden view of the golf course. Quiet location. Easy reach by car to Exeter city centre. Good provision of Kitchen appliances. The utility room with shower room was an added bonus. Luxurious rooms and bedrooms. Good parking outside. Very happy with our stay. Planning to stay again.
