Beautiful property and accommodation in peaceful location out of town. Close to the Camino. George the owner went above and beyond to meet our needs for cooking at the accommodation, including organising a delicious birthday cake and candles for our daughter.
Set in Oia, the recently renovated Casa Arrabal offers accommodation 45 km from Estación Maritima and 15 km from Santa Tecla Celtic Village.

I loved this little casa! It was one of my favorite holiday apartment rental experiences in memory. If you are doing the Camino Portuguese da Costa, make this a stop! Or if you just love beautiful historic beach towns, choose this one.
Starting with the fast, friendly communication with the host, and easy key box check-in. The little casa is in a renovated building right in the historic town center, previously associated with the big medieval Monastery within view. The walls are a few hundred years old, but the interior has been smartly renovated with modern conveniences, and uses the small old space in a perfectly sensitive and lovely way. It’s clear that architecture and design were a priority in this rebuild and I really appreciated that.
There are two bedrooms on two floors, each with directly attached toilets and showers enclosed in a very efficient and smart way. (Note: if you are two or more people who want separate bedrooms and bathrooms, choose to book the whole space rather than just half.) The three-way showers had great pressure and plenty of hot water, which was much appreciated after a long day on the Camino. The beds have memory foam mattresses and pillows, making for the best night of sleep we had in Spain, by far.
WiFi was decent, and there were helpful local resources in the apartment. There was even a Camino stamp!
There isn’t laundry in the flat, but the host was kind enough to direct us next door to a coin operated lavanderia which was honestly a good and easy laundry experience for €8, and a good way to pass time before the restaurants open for dinner.
This was such a comfortable, lovely place to experience this beautiful part of Spain, I would recommend it to anyone and definitely hope to return.

The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes based in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, such as trekking, birdwatching and cycling.
Gorgeous house..beautifully restored..spotless clean..very comfortable beds..great shower..crisp white sheets and towels. and great location for Camino..would be great for a rest day if needed..really quiet at night..a real treat to stay here..there wete 4 of us so able to book whole house or could book for 2 and share kitchen..
Lovely rural property just off the Camino but an easy walk. Beautiful country house beside a river. Rooms spacious and the couple who run it are exceptionally nice. Offered to drive us to dinner in the village but we didn’t need that.
Toni was a fabulous host. She drove us back to the supermarket to get provisions for breakfast (there were some light provisions in the room but some in our group wanted alternatives). She also was able to offer washing machine/drying for us which was really helpful. Very close to the camino trail and gorgeous views over the countryside.
A really beautiful Spanish country house, which is run with a lot of love, also for nature, the pets (2 dogs & 2 donkeys) and togetherness. It is in a beautiful idyllic location and as it is a little further away from Oia/restaurants, we were offered a free private transfer to the restaurant by the friendly hosts. I would come back any time!
Very nice quiet rural location. Just a few minutes from the Camino route. Breakfast was delicious and perfectly served.
Very kind and helpful hosts. It was the best night during our Camino walk.
The location. The house is nice. Some coffee and little cakes where left for us( no breakfast provided). There was a kitchen but we didn't use it for dinner( good restaurant nearby). Very quiet area.
