Wonderful rural location high above Urnieta. The room was very comfortable with well appointed bathrooms and was serviced daily. The €8 breakfast was incredible. Each day you didn’t know what treats you would get. Despite us having no Spanish, our interactions with the host were friendly and with Google translate we communicated effectively. The location is about 20 mins from San Sebastián with easy highway access. We walked one of the farm walks that had clear signage and awesome views. There is a local restaurant 250m away where we enjoyed a lovely fresh cod dinner.
We recommend this retreat.

We had a great stay in this rural retreat. We had our own patio looking out over the apple orchards. The bedroom was also very spacious and our host was very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful evening in San Sebastian/Donostia and this only a 10-15 minute drive. We did a great Pintxos tour in a the part of the very cute old town. Breakfast was also very nice and fresh.

This was the cutest little place! It’s a B&B with 6 rooms in a gorgeous house. Eduardo was the perfect host from start to finish. We were treated to an excellent breakfast every morning - cereals, granola, fresh fruits, natural yoghurt, homemade Spanish tortilla, Serrano ham, cheese, toast and jams, twinings tea of all different flavours. All eaten in the stunning views of the garden. Really felt at home. Eduardo’s mother didn’t speak a word of English yet had a lovely conversation with us, it was excellent for us as we’re learning Spanish and we had lots of time to practise. She was just lovely, gave us a map of the area and showed us how to get around. The cleaner was equally welcoming. There was parking right outside the property but we didn’t need the car once. The train station was a 5 minute walk which took us straight into San Sebastián, it also goes to Bilbao which we didn’t do. We also went to Zarautz and did the recommended walk to Getaria. About 4km to the town which was beautiful. The pinxtos in all of these areas are so tasty, the basque region is known for its fish for a reason, so fresh. I would 100% stay here again, it was a little gem of a house with superb links to anywhere you’d want to go.

Beautiful setting within vineyards, just up the hill from Getatia. The room was extremely clean and comfortable, and the hosting exceptional.
The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes based in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, such as trekking, birdwatching and cycling.
Really enjoyed our stay. We loved the property, it is very clean and comfortable. It is situated in a very scenic location with a trekking track and a restaurant nearby that provides good meals. The connectivity to the city is also good by a short bus ride. Monica made sure that we had everything at our disposal.
Quiet location near the city, safe parking for our motorbike in the yard. The hostess is very helpful and willing to help with everything, even with situations that do not concern her accommodation. She prepares great coffee and breakfast every morning. Recommendation for bikers!!!!
Good access to Euskotren stop, 3min walk. Plenty of bars and shops within walking distance. Apart from the terrible cigarette smoke smell the place is quiet and clean, with room serviced everyday. Complementary tea and coffee is a nice detail. The automated entry and checkin using door codes is the best thing when you actually prefer avoiding meeting people.
