We absolutely loved our stay here! The room was very clean and comfortable. It was great to be able to prepare meals in the well-equipped kitchen and eat on the lovely terrace with candlelight in the evenings. It was like having your own restaurant on site with no bill at the end! We used the barbecue for lunch one day which was fantastic. Laura was very helpful and gave us some good local recommendations. It was so quiet and peaceful, we slept so well, and as an early riser I loved sitting on the top terrace and watching the birds fly over in the mornings. The village is charming and there are some great restaurants. The local area is amazing, we rented bikes from Laura one morning and rode through the rice fields watching all the birdlife, beautiful! We hadn't thought of the Delta as a beach destination and were surprised how unspoilt and beautiful the beaches were, and so quiet even though it was August. We went to Trabucador, Riumar and El Fangar beaches, all stunning. We also did an excursion from La Rapita to see the mussel farms which is highly recommended. We will be back for sure, thanks Laura!

The building is a sympathetically restored mill for pressing olives in a proper village. Charming proprietor who was uncomplaining when I arrived at 12 after a breakdown and arranged a very adequate supper for me

Location was pretty and peaceful.
Yesi who was working on site was kind and helpful, and apologised for her bosses behaviour.
However the problems far outweigh these two points.

We simply loved every single moment of our stay at Cal Xot and in general in the peculiar Delta del Ebre area.
The place is new, well designed and well furnished. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the common areas are also great: kitchen facilities (each room has its own!), outdoor space where to relax or have breakfast, and a spectacular terrace. Last but not least, Isa and Rafa are great hosts, so friendly and welcoming. Poble Nou is a lovely little village that feels out of space and time, and Cal Xot made our stay even more special… We will definitely come back!! 😊
P.S.: happy to have been the first guests from Italy! :)

The owner is incredibly nice! Very helpfull lady! We also liked the kitchen and general atmosphere here. Not far away from bird watching spots or the beach (but the car is needed for both). This place is in a little town - so it needs a littler adjustments in your mind. It is very difficult to get a meal here - most restaurants are opened in a different times that you are used to and unfortunatelly google doesn¨t provide you with the informations... so be prepared and have your own food.
The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes based in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, such as trekking, birdwatching and cycling.

It’s truly a hidden gem for design lovers! The entire hotel is filled with aesthetic details. From the cozy breakfast by the beautiful yard, to the library on the second floor with a stunning mountain view… we enjoyed it so much.
The experience gives us a distinct luxury feeling compared to that of 5 star hotels. Definitely recommended!
