Remote location, beautifully renovated houses, privacy, hiking opportunities, and watching the sun rise above El Teide within 10 minutes walking distance from the place (April). Basic food (bread, milk, coffee, etc.) was available on arrival.
The apartament was located in a quiet place in an orchard. Apartment was clean. Upon arrival, a pleasant surprise was waiting for us from the owner of the apartment.
The house is beautifully located, overlooking the valley. It is quiet and serene, with two outside terraces. The outer terrace has the afternoon sun (Western orientation) which is great for a nice drink to enjoy the views. The place is a lot bigger than it seemed on the photos, and has all the equipment one would need. Beds were comfortable, no barking dogs nearby. A real feeling of privacy, and to top it all off, a very friendly neighbour who came to bring us a bag of oranges, lemons and avocados from his own garden!
Such a wonderful place, the owners were so friendly and helpful in giving me hiking recommendations and where to get off the bus. I didn't have the breakfast but I saw others enjoying it and it looked fantastic. Agulo is very beautiful and quiet, there are a few restaurants and bars but not too many were open whilst I was there, it was the perfect place to stay to enjoy the incredible hiking in that part of the island. The bus stops on the main road about 10 minute walk from the property and takes approx. 45 mins to San Sebestian.
The location was perfect for us. Lovely valley views and so quiet of an evening. It had excellent road connections to all the lovely hiking trails we wanted to do and shops and eateries were only a few miles away by car. Very comfortable beds and well stocked kitchen. Only small things were a bigger kettle would have been helpful and knowing there was no oven (other than a microwave/grill) would have also been useful.
