Location is really beautiful and natural. The staff were exceptional. Also a VERY clean property. Great security! Outstanding pool and jacuzzi area. Very quiet and great night sleep.
Very quiet and very peaceful place. Small kitchen, private terrace with barbecue. Good mattress. Very clean bathroom with hot water. Friendly staff is always ready to help tourists. Location - fisherman's village. 100 meters to the ocean. You will enjoy walking along the coast. Nearby there are restaurants and bars, as well as a grocery store.
Location is great, on the river, close to local shops and hiking trail to the quieter (and prettiest in my opinion) beach of Galheta.
Hostel is well set up for coworking with desks and comfortable chairs both upstairs and downstairs and WiFi is excellent.
Staff are extremely friendly, though it did feel like almost everyone was a volunteer and working and there were very few other “guests”
The whole hostel is a communal space so it is very easy to meet people.
Amazing vibe of the hostel. Super peaceful and quiet. It’s located in a very good place - far from noisy downtown, close to nice beach and really beautiful trails through jungle.
A kind host is going to help you with everything, even bring you a food!

Simone and Miguel were wonderful, helpful hosts who made us feel like part of the family. The Pousada is beautiful, surrounded by nature - there are even some adorable little monkeys that joined us for breakfast a couple of times. The breakfast was incredible and we looked forward to this every day. The location is good - very quiet and peaceful yet close to shops and restaurants. It is best to have a car here but you can actually walk to Joaquina beach which takes about 20 minutes through a beautiful nature reserve.

- Very quiet location, just ~4 blocks from the beach, and ~6 blocks from town center
- Barra da Lagoa in particular is GREAT if you like trekking, few mins walk to some, mid-island to North and South ones.
Very nice apartment at an affordable price in a quiet and peaceful place! There is everything you need, the kitchen is well equipped, there is a stove, microwave oven, refrigerator, dishes. Nice shower. I definitely recommend it!
