Altogether a wonderful stay! We had the deluxe bungalow, and even if it's of course not a Five Star hotel, it's well equipped (mosquito net, how clever is that!), clean and comfortable. The surrounding is just stunning, the food is extraordinare (both breakfast and diner), the staff and first of all Huong is caring and helped us with literally everything. Absolute full recommendation! Around the corner is a small restaurant with really tasty food (try the Papaya salad!), and they have some cute puppies too. :)
There are many homestays in Mai Chau but we were very happy to have chosen this one. It's in an idyllic spot on the edge of the village next to the rice paddies and a fish pond. , very lush and tropical. Our host was very friendly, informative and speaks great English and offers to guide various local treks, though there are plenty of walks you can do yourselves. All the food was fantastic and we took a cooking class while there with the host's wife , a trained chef.
The location was amazing and our bungalow was very nice! The staff was also very friendly and we really enjoyed the dinner with everyone! Another highlight was the pool with view over the rice fields. Highly recommend!:)

A beautiful little hotel with a pleasant atmosphere and a great stone swimming pool. Very pleasant family staff, tasty breakfast. In the surroundings there is a charming landscape, waterfalls, a lake, local Sunday market. It is good to rent a motorbike and stay there for at least three days and experience the atmosphere of the Vietnamese countryside.
The location and superb countryside views is only surpassed by the attentiveness and friendliness of the charming family who own and run the home stay. It was a pleasure and privilege to stay in their home.
Lovely hostess. Very helpful and friendly. Lovely location near river and rice fields. Breakfast was by a pond with beautiful lotus waterlillies. Local people playing football, going about daily life - in fields and around houses. Stilt houses with beautiful carved doors shutters. Thatched roofs. Lots of shops / house fronts selling local craft cloth and clothes as well as more common market things. Near Bungalow there was a co-operative / workshop for disadvantaged local women who had lovely original textiles , bags etc on sale.
Amazing place with stunning view. Perfect value for money, it was one of the best stays during our one month in Vietnam. Food is delicious and rooms were very cosy and nice, we stayed in a room with balcony and then in bungalow. We really enjoyed the atmosphere. Staff was very helpful,we rented motorbike for more days and everything without any problems.
We rented the newly built family bungalow in the middle of the rice paddies a few minutes walk from the homestay. We liked the tranquility and the beautiful views and the authentic villages around the Mai Chau valley. The communal suppers were excellent (and great value for less than €4) with a good choice of local dishes. During our five night stay we met some lovely people from around the world. The owner, Huong, was charming, helpful and spoke very good english.
