Fine, if a little tired western rooms at a reasonable price. Right next to both the Tobu Nikko station and JR station. Also the first stop for the busses to the world heritage sights and Yumoto/Chizengie onsens (outside the JR station). The onsen is great once you get over the awkwardness of being going in Japanese style (naked).
Hiro-san makes you feel welcome in his lovely home. The place was clean, quiet, comfortable and surrounded by nature, with in front of the house 300-year old trees. Hiro picks you up and drops you off at a nearby train station. I was in need of a new charger and he drove me to a shop and helped me get a new one. He’s really the nicest person! Highly recommend staying at COZY inn!

A delightful and charming stay. The private onsen was lovely, and the decor seemed like a cosy moment paused in time.. Comfortable and eclectic, with a kind and sincere owner who also provided a wonderful breakfast. We loved it and would gladly return for another recuperative stay.
Nikko Station Hotel Classic is in a great location for JR & Tobu Nikko train services as well as the World Heritage Sightseeing Bus. The staff at the front desk were very welcoming, kind and informative and spoke very good english which we really appreciated. The room was cozy, clean and the amenities provided were of a good standard. It was a great place to stay after a long day of travel, the bed was comfy.
An unforgettable stay Thanks to the owner Mr Yoshi and his guest house, everything was great and cosy. For our 35-year engagement anniversary we decided to take an unforgettable trip to Japan with our children and we could not miss a visit to one of the most beautiful UNESCO heritage sites with temples set in the green mountains and the shinkyo bridge
This place was absolutely beautiful! It had the feel of a cozy mountain cabin yet very fresh. The baths were also excellent, a real highlight of my stay. My room had everything I needed, were clean and spacious enough, and the host was also very nice.

Spacious and cosy 2storey cottage in the middle of the wood. Nicely decorated on high ground overlooking the whole area. All the utensils for cooking and dining are provided. Great for family. I travelled with 6 this time and we cooked Nasu wagyu and drank sake every night. We had a great time and i would stay there again.
I stayed with a group of friends and the cottage itself was new and very lovely. The atmosphere was very comfortable and you could tell the host put a lot of effort into small details. The amenities and additional perks (tea, coffee etc.) were very high quality. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a cozy getaway from the city!
