Set in Karterados and only 3 km from Karterados Beach, Thallos Cave House and Apartments offers accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. Guests staying at this holiday home have access to a fully equipped kitchen and a patio. The accommodation provides airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. I have worked in the hospitality industry for many years, and am very critical about the little details. This apartment was perfect. This is why: 1. VERY clean! The accommodation was very clean and well maintained. The keys in the reception were soaked in sanitizer, though a very little detail, it really highlights the establishments compliance and awareness for the safety measures in place. The attention to the little details makes this establishment stand out and above the others. 2. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I do not have to expand on this. Once you have stayed here, you will see how amazing they were. The accommodation is family run, and I liked this aspect. The name Thallos, meaning 'seed', I believe?, really sums up the hard work and dedication they have to create such an amazing place. 3. The location. It is not in the mainstream area. This is actually better. The main area at Fira and the nightlife is not far of a walk. The bus stops are close by, and it's easy to organise private transport if needed to the beach or the airport etc. I found the restaurants in this area were cheaper and had far better food than those in the main areas. I probably wouldn't eat in the main areas again based on the price and lower standard of food taste. (this is based on 2 restaurants we ate at the main areas). 4. The facilities If you want to come and relax. There is a hot tub, sun beds, and an outdoor patio. It's ideal to come and chill and enjoy the time. 5. What did Thallos offer that made it stand out for me: A. A nice breakfast with locally sourced products. B. Erini, was available at anytime. She helped us organise transport, day trips etc. She printed our borarding passes free of charge. C. Family run business. It was nice to see her kids walking around. It felt very homely. D. It was quiet, relaxing and close to gain access to the main areas and public buses.
