A welcoming card with our names on it. Cold water and fresh milk for tea. They even cleaned our windshields on the car oon the morning we left! Immediate response to questions and requests. Tyrone and Neil were never in a rush, took their time to explain things to us. The breakfast was delicious, freshly prepared, good strong coffee.

Astella Lodge is a beautiful cute cottage with a home stay feel. Situated in an idyllic village surrounded by greenery.
Terrific English pub, really comfy beds, historic and charming setting in honey stone green, excellent quality food (the steak and ale pie was delicious) and good range of beers and ciders. Super breakfast and felt very homely. Lovely cottage garden and good ambience. Would stay again in a heartbeat. Excellent service , allowing us to check out a little later, was appreciated.
Lovely cottage with cosy atmosphere. Nice, big bathroom. Good size kitchen with oportunity to cook. Lots of TV channels to choose from. Very informative and helpful host, we had lots of tips for local sights and nice places to eat.
A real find, the pictures don't do it justice. Really nice cosy and authentic little inn, perfect for anyone really wanting to expereince the traditional English countryside inn. We had the family room upstairs which was great for a short a short stay but I suspect that the little bungalows on the outside might be a nicer. Staff are lovely and the food is great. We had dinner and breakfast. They offer a light continental breakfast with croissant/toast, cereals, yogurts and fruit. All around a great experience.
Charming cottage in a central location, close to restaurants and shops. We loved the master bedroom and its comfortable bed and living room with its lovely fireplace with log-effect heating.
This incredibly cozy place features a superbly equipped kitchen (it has everything and even more to cook with) and comfortable bedrooms. The fireplace was a delightful addition, and the opportunity to light it ourselves was appreciated. The cottage is conveniently located in relation to Cheddar Caves (literally a 10-minute walk to the ticket office and nearby souvenir shops and cafes). We definitely recommend Strawberry Cottage. A cosy, relaxing cottage with a large comfortable bed and lovely decor. The log burner was great and made the lodge feel so special and warm.
The setting is stunning, nestled in the middle of the beautiful countryside on the side of a hill - it felt tucked away and private but close enough to the village and neighbouring towns. The lodge itself is spacious, warm and cosy. A well equipped kitchen and clean bathroom. We had a really comfortable stay. Some lovely touches including a bird watching book and binoculars, welly stand and digital flame effect fire. The decor was lovely - very homely.
