Really an experience. Paula is an amazing host taking really good care of you. House and rooms with a cinematographic quality. Very spacious room with a lot of little charming nooks. Nice bathtub. Speedy wifi. And the breakfast (in front of a fireplace) to die for. Pity we had to rush to catch a plane.
We booked 3 rooms in total. Two were huge 4 poster bed rooms, and one lovely cottage room. Breakfast and sunday lunch were delicious. All staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel had a homely feel. We will be returning.
The cottage was perfect, so cosy with log burner too!
This cottage was exactly what we were looking for. Easy walking distance to the beach (around 15-20 mins) close to the local pubs (can fully recommend The Old Swan Inn). We even found that a lovely coffee shop was about 15 steps from our front door who served great coffee and lovely cakes. As for the property its self, for two people, it was clean, very spacious, amazing shower room and a very cosy log fire. Would definitely come again.....

The location is beautiful with outlook on trees in the countryside. The cottage is ideal for a single person with seated area immediately outside, a great respite from the the busyness of life but also close to Llantrisant and retail park to pick up forgotten items.
Lovely cottage
Swallow Cottage is in a beautiful setting overlooking the Countryside , ideal if travelling to Barry or Porthcawl. The location is very peaceful and tranquil. Swallow cottage was cosy and comfortable with everything we needed. Soft comfortable bed, fantastic kitchen with everything we needed to prepare a meal and lovely modern bathroom with powerful shower. We had a really comfortable stay.
Rosie was so friendly and welcoming. They couldn't have helped us more with suggesting where to eat locally; suggesting transport options to Hensol castle and other top tips. The cottage had everything we needed to prepare meals and breakfast. Rosie had left a thoughtful welcome gift of milk and water in the fridge and biscuits and coffee/tea to start us off. We were cosy and it was very clean. Plenty of parking space too. The countryside was lovely.
