Amazing location with an excellent and peaceful view! Rooms were clean and the bed was really comfortable. The hostess was polite and discreetly checked whether we needed anything during our stay. Wirksworth
Situated in Wirksworth, in a historic building, 24 km from Chatsworth House, The Tenth House, Grade II Listed Georgian Town House, Wirksworth, Derbyshire, Peak District Cottage, Sleeps 4 is a holiday home with a garden and tennis court. With city views, this accommodation provides a patio. The accommodation features a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, full-day security and free WiFi. The Tenth House exceeded all expectations. It's so beautifully and thoughfully laid out with the space used in very inventive ways. We loved our bedroom and our 3 year old adored 'his' room with not only bunkbeds but lots of toys and books for him. He also fell in love with 'Alexa' and DJ'd his heart out. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed, bathroom was beautiful and the little living room on the first floor a lovely place to cosy up in the evening. Location is also great, right in the middle of this gorgeous little town and there are plenty of things to do in the vicinity. One thing we noticed is that as we were visiting in June, a lot of the kids attractions weren't open on the weekdays yet, so take that into account. Kelly and Martin were excellent hosts and, although not present, were attentive and responsive throughout our stay, responding to and solving little problems and questions. They provided amazing information ahead of time, including local sights, eateries and other logistics, but also very comprehensive information on the house. We really appreciated little touches like how to get a pint from next door while still staying in the little courtyard in range of the baby monitor! It makes such a difference to get advice from families with small kids who get it. I would say the house is perfect for a family of 2 adults and 2 children, max. The stairs are very steep, so make sure children are confident with stairs.

A lovely cottage that’s perfect for a couple . Very clean , cozy and has everything you need
Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. The kitchen is amazing and the quality of fittings and furnishings throughout was fantastic - the best holiday cottage we have stayed in. A real home from home. Hosts were absolutely lovely too and could not have been more friendly or welcoming.
Lisa was an extremely helpful host. I left something behind and she immediately contacted me and offered to mail it for me. The cottage is charming and cosy. Highly recommended.
Spot on location for me, quiet but close to walking centre of Hartington. Comfortable bed! Surprising how often this isn't the case. Charming cottage room. Cosy open fire in old part of main building.
A lovely cozy quirky farm cottage. Had an amazing stay, loved the old style of building with exposed timbers. The cottage was nice a warm too and the kitchen underfloor heating helped with keeping the feet warm in the morning. Would happily go stay again.
A beautiful cottage, very warm and cosy, the underfloor heating was really nice and it was full of character. After a day's walking the hot tub was so nice too we used it every day (take some robes with you if you want to use it). It had everything we needed and the town of Buxton was not far away, plenty of shops, restaurants and bars nearby and we used a local taxi service as we didn't want to drive. Would highly recommend.
Lovely cottage in a great location for exploring the Peak District. The cottage was very comfortable, clean and we didn't want for anything. The hot tub was a great way to relax after a busy day, with good views across the countryside, lovely and quiet too. The welcome pack was greatly appreciated.
Lovely cottage, great space, very clean and comfortable. Every thing we needed there. We loved the log burner very cosy. Denyse the host so helpful before the visit she recommended the White Hart in Duffield for lunch it was fabulous. Great location for walking
The cottage was cosy with a great location in a charming village at the centre of the Peak District. I particularly liked the open fireplace in the sitting room
The cottage was very comfortable, cosy and clean. There was everything we needed during our stay. The welcome gifts were just lovely, and so were the Christmas decorations. All the details such as bathrobes, slippers, blankets and toiletries supplied were charming. The aga range cooker blew my mind. As soon as we walked in, we felt a homely atmosphere espectaly when we lit the fireplace. Even though the weather wasn't good, we had a fantastic time.
