The place looks way better than the pictures portray. It is such a beautiful well kept house. The housekeeper was friendly to us as well. The house overall was very near and in such a peaceful, safe area. The garden space is very big and the kitchen area exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend this place.

Everything was perfect!!! We often travel to Johannesburg for work, and will from now on make Pender House our only stay.
We stayed there for 4 weeks, it felt like our second home.
Penny & Derek were beyond hospitable and made us so welcome, everything aspect of the stay was pleasant.
The cottage is spacious, clean, safe, and fully equipped (washing machine etc.) to stay for long periods.
It's extremely central to pretty much everything important in Jhb.
I would highly recommend them!

The cottage is well organized with all needed essentials for a self catering stay.
From receptionist to room service ladies they are so friendly and welcoming. The rooms are extremely clean, I like the self catering (pots, plates, glasses, cups and cutlery), fridge in the room, stove available on request so you can enjoy your own cooked meals as if you are home. Also there is good privacy, clean towels, TV with Netflix, YouTube. It is very cosy also hot water is always available, I love it
Very charming cottage-like guesthouse surrounded by a well kept garden. Decorated with taste albeit simply. My room, set in a former stable, was quiet and very comfortable. The internet worked well. It all felt very cosy and private. Grateful for the tea, kettle, cups and courtesy snacks. I loved this place and would certainly go back!
The cottage is lovely and cosy with a fireplace and plenty of wood. Good wifi. Breakfast was excellent with a lovely fresh fruit salad. We needed a later check-out and the hostess was happy to accommodate us. We will stay at Grace cottage again.
