Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
This is the first year that the Estancia is in operation. Alfredo is an amazing host who does everything pretty much on his own. You feel like you are at home with a big family. The atmosphere is very cosy. We had excellent meals there. Homemade bread every morning and breakfast went on until noon.
The house still needs some care, a bit more tender loving care. However, next year Alfredo is hoping to have more help which is good.
El Ombú is a very special place rich in history and curiosities. It is run by it´s owner who has an interesting renovation project going on. Alfredo is a warm charming person. The birds also are also a charm. We loved the swimming pool. You feel like it is your temporary home. No formalities.
