This is such a wonderful home on lake Pocotopaug. We are almost afraid to give a review because we enjoyed our stay so much, and we are sure we will be coming back again and we don’t want too many people to know how good it is because it won’t be available then. The house has a beautiful view to the lake, especially nice is the upper deck. The house is equipped with canoes and kayaks, and you can swim from the dock. The kitchen has everything you need or want, including a lovely dinner table with view to lake. Kitchen with large refrigerator, stove, oven and there is also a gas grill just out the door. Basic items for cooking like salt, pepper, spices, sauces are also provided, which is very convinient. Multiple TVs and Alexas in almost every room and even one on the porch outside.
Everything is very clean and modern.
The coffee/tea corner has everything including a nice Nespresso machine.
There are also plenty of towels provided, also a washing maschine and dryer is available.
The host Kris makes you very welcome , and in their welcome book you find everything about the house, places to eat , things to do. We hope to come back soon.
Cottages are perfect for travellers who enjoy feeling cosy and independent in the countryside. Usually small, traditionally built houses, cottages spread across one or two floors, making them great for families, or holidays with a little more privacy.
The room was decent size for our family of 3. The location is ideal for anyone wanting or needing to be in downtown Hartford. The morning breakfast room was quite cozy and situated on the ground floor at the corner of the building with street front windows. Such a prime spot is not your typical morning coffee location, but very much appreciated. The old (style?) leather couches and chairs were a nice added touch.
