Cottages in Ban Makok

The homestay was so comfortable and for us the location was great; on the end of the town over looking the paddy fields. the bed was comfortable and the welcome exceptional. the bonus was the free cycles, we used them all the time.

The home was as nice as the photos. The view from all aspects was beautiful- rice field from bedroom and garden area from pool area. Quiet and very relaxing place, need a car or scooter unless planning to just stay at home. Owners are a very nice family and always available- took us to local market the first day as we didn’t have our car yet, suggested places to visit. Can do your washing for normal Thailand price. Breakfast was prepared by owners - great cooks , mostly Thai cuisine which we loved. Can do your own cooking , the fruit at the market was amazing. There is a great Thai restaurant close by - need to turn left onto the main road and place is just before the traffic lights, has parking area.

We have the whole house for ourselves. Both interior and exterior are well upkeep. The location which is next to Ping river gives serene and quiet vibe. The host and the caretaker are very kind. They treated us very well every time we stay.

This is such a lovely homely place to stay - all the practical things that you could need plus such sweet hosts. It is highly recommended to stay here because the home is private and well organised, with caring hosts. It was easy to communicate before and during my stay. I received a nice welcome from the hosts and felt at home immediately. They were kind enough to offer me a lift in their car to go into the town and to catch the small bus to Chiang Mai which goes from the museum near the main temple. Although it is also possible to walk to the centre as it is about 1km over the bridge. The room is exactly as the pictures, all immaculately clean and well prepared. The bed and pillows are comfortable. There is soap and shampoo in the bathroom and in the little kitchen. I liked sitting outside at the table with the views of the coconut palms and other trees. I was only able to stay one night as I had already booked more accommodation to go to. But I would love to return to this cute place for its tranquility and the hosts who treated me with so much care, just like a daughter! Thank you both for a happy and memorable stay in Lamphun.
